Me, Ney'tiri, and Jake flew high around the mountain, scouting for humans that could be invading the area.

I patted my Ikran, Aastha, on the side of her head. She was a sweet creature, always looking after me and my children.

We were rounding the corner, getting ready to head back home. There was absolutely no threats in the area from what we could tell.

I stopped when the voice of Lo'ak filled my ears.

"Mama.." he called out to me, but still he caught the others attention as well, "There are these men— they look like Avatars, but they're wearing full camels and holding AR's."

Ney'tiri looked over at us as she spoke, "Who's with you?" She asked, all of us waiting to know but me.

"Spider, Kiri... and Tuk." I said causing both of them to look at me with fear.

"Send us the location, now." Jake said, already speeding up the pace.

"Yes, Sir."

By the time we landed, the sun had fallen to replace the glowing moon. At some point, Neteyam had scouted us and followed, much to our dismay.

We landed, the raining forest getting us wet the longer we stayed.

I got off my Ikran, my bow in my hands. I looked around, my ears straining to hear something.

I looked back over when a third thud was heard.

"Neteyam, you stay here." Jake ordered, his finger pointing at Neteyam's Ikran.

"What? I'm a warrior like you, I'm supposed to fight! Mama, tell him." He looked at me, hope in his eyes only to fall when he realized that I too didn't want him to come.

"Stay."

Soon enough, we caught the light coming from one of their flashlights, blaring into the forest it was aimed at.

Jake walked in front of us, his hand signaling us to spread apart.

From the tree I stood by, I caught sight of my baby brother. I quietly hissed, the bow feeling powerless in my hands, so instead I grabbed my knife. All of a sudden, a bow shot out and hit a man in the head causing the others to fire their guns at us. I straightened my back, avoiding the bullets that almost skimmed my arm.

"Fuck." I closed my eyes, preparing myself to go head first into blazing bullets.

"Is that you, Mrs. Sully?" A man spoke. My eyes widened, my jaw dropping slightly when I realized just who it was.

"Father." I turned around the corner, my eyes skimming the people until I seen a bald man with a gun aimed towards my wife. I looked between the two, tears brimming my eyes.

I tore my gaze off of the man to instead find my children escaping. I smiled, I myself moving to leave as well before I realized that Tuk and my brother were falling behind.

I jumped on top of the closet one to me, my knife digging into the side of their neck and poking through the other end. I looked up just in time for one of the to try and aim at me. I grabbed the man I had under me, and hid behind him, using him as a shield.

"SPIDER, GRAB TUK AND GO. NOW!" I yelled, quickly catching everyone's attention.

Once I was sure that they were gone, I slammed my shield against the firing men, and grabbed her gun.

Very briefly, I took notice of my father staring at me, so many emotions passing through his eyes.

I turned around, the gun still in my hands as I weaved through thick tree's. My ears twitched as I heard the sound of running footsteps ahead of me.

I caught sight of Kiri hunched over, screaming Spider's name.

"What happened!?" I grabbed onto her shoulders, checking to see if she were okay.

"Spider— he's down there." Tears streamed down her face, my ears pulling back when I caught sight of flashing lights down where Spider was.

"Okay, go find the others." She stayed and looked at me, unsure what I was trying to do, "Go. Now." Kiri turned around and ran in the direction everyone else must have been in. I turned back towards Spider and jumped off the long log we were on.

I landed next to thick bushes, tree's hiding me from the opening, which was where Spider and the humans were at.

My eyes moved over them all, studying whatever they were doing.

But then I caught sight of my father, once more. I breathed in and out, my chest rising and falling with the motion. Tears clouded my eyes, the feeling of resentment and happiness mixing together making me confused.

He's a bad man, but he was still the man who raised me. Whilst I'm pretty sure he did terrible things to get me, I realize that now, he was still the only parent I've ever known.

But Spider didn't have that type of relationship with him, not like I do in anyway.

I closed my eyes, I have to move fast if I didn't want my baby brother to get taken from our father. Whilst I'm almost certain he wouldn't hurt him, I can't say the same about the rest.

I grabbed my bow, and stuck an arrow alongside it.

I killed him once, I can do it again.

I can do it again.

I can do it.

I can.

I let go of the arrow, the sharp edge piercing through the man's chest only for no reaction but shock to ensue from it.

What?

All the humans started to aim their weapons in my direction except for him. He took the arrow out from his bullet proof vest and looked at it.

That's right, he didn't know what my arrows looked like, I'd stabbed him with the knife he'd gifted me.

I hissed, a bullet hitting my arm. Blood poured down getting my hands wet, red getting everywhere.

I peeked over, trying to get my eyes on Spider only to see them moving towards a sky ship, ropes getting plunged down for them to climb.

I grabbed another arrow and aimed at a random man's head, my eyes narrowed. Soon enough, the arrow went flying at pierced straight into the man's skull.

More yelling ensued, but they didn't fight back this time. They wanted to leave, and with my brother in their hands nonetheless.

A defeated feeling settled in my chest making me look back ahead at the endless trees and bushes.

Why is this happening? I thought, a million different things racing through my mind as I stood there. But then my mind wandered to my family.

They were surely waiting for me.

I pushed myself off of the tree only for a striking pain to envelope my entire body, starting with the arm that got shot.

Right, I got shot.

I hissed, my voice cracking. The more blood that poured, the more I felt like I was going to drop. My head was just so fuzzy.

I took a step forward only to collapse onto my hands and knees, my vision becoming blurred.

Very vividly, I seen everyone run towards me, worried looks on their faces as they grabbed me.  But I didn't truly know what was happening, my eyes already closing.

I was safe. Surely.
