-CHAPTER 1-

(Amber's POV)
I wake up to the sound of knocking

I look to see what time it is and it's literally 2 in the morning

I hear knocking again and its coming from.. my window?

I get up and pull back the curtains to see Tara, my best friend

"Tara what the fuck? It's 2 in the morning" I say wiping my eyes so its not as blurry

When I pull my hands away rom my face I see Tara is already in my room

I look her in the eyes and it looks like shes been crying. And it looks like shes going to cry again

"Tara? What's wrong? Was is your mom?" I ask

Tara just nods

OMG im going to end up killing her mom if she keeps hurting Tara

"Awh sweetie come here" i say as one my arms signaling for a hug

Tara hugs me tight. Like REALLY tight. But I'll allow it because shes sad

She sobs into my shirt soaking it with her tears

"Do you wanna talk now? We don't have to right now we can in the morning" I say

"No,no its okay i can talk now" Tara says wiping tears from eyes

She still clings onto my waist while talking

"So basically i was listening to music, and i didn't know my mom came home" Tara says sniffling

"And i guess she was calling for me and i didn't hear her say my name. So she came up to my room and pulled my headphones off my head and pulled my hair at the same time. Then she took my headphones and threw them on the ground and stomped on it"

She starts to cry again

"Baby we don't have to keep talking about it, I dont want you to cry anymore" I say reassuring her

"No, Amber it's okay I can do it im almost done" She says

"Okay then you may proceed" I say

"Okay, so after she did that she hit my in my stomach and pulled my hair again. She then pushed me on the wall and yelled at me for being a disappointment and called me a dumb whore"

See now, with Tara's mom, she drinks a lot. Like A LOT. And she gets really physical when she's drunk, so Tara gets hurt by her like 4 times a week. I swear that sooner or later Tara's mom is gonna have t get her stomach pumped with all she drinks in a night.

"Sweetheart, you're not a disappointment. You have the best grades out of the whole group" I say trying to remind her of the good things

"And you're not a 'dumb whore'. You aren't dumb first of all. Second of all your not a whore. You a only dated one person that doesn't make you a whore" I tell her

"Please do't remind me of that relationship" Tara say giggling a bit

"Oooo, you giggled" I say with a chuckle making Tara give me a little smile

"Do you wanna sleepover tonight?" I ask

"I would but we have school and I didn't bring any clothes" Tara tells me

"Tara, I can drive us to school tomorrow, and you have some clothes here. But if you don't wanna wear them you can wear some of my clothes"

"Okay, thank you ambs" She says giving me a litte kiss on the cheek before getting ready to get in shower

-MINI TIME SKIP-
Tara got out the shower and got one of my big shirts and my shorts to sleep in

I was like half sleep when this happened until I heard Tara call me

"Amber?"

"Yea Tara?"

"I don't like how dark it is can i put on the skylight?"

"Yea go ahead darling"

(Tara's POV)

I am so happy its dark in here right now because I'm blushing like crazy

Amber keeps calling me all these names, I'm about to faint

I have literally the biggest crush on this girl and i have for a long time

She makes me feel loved and appreciated

But anyway i turned on the skylight and got in bed

It's currently 2:50 a.m and I wake up at 7 for school so I don't know how that's gonna go

"Taraaaa" Amber whines

"Yea?"

"Come to bed you're taking to longggg"

"Okay baby"

I hop in bed and Amber immediately comes over and hugs me tight around my waist and buries her head in my neck

'Omg shes so cute' I think to myself while i drift off to sleep
