Yet again, I wake up to my alarm. Then I get ready for school and both my parents are gone again. Then I leave my house and start walking. Then Craig walks out of his house and walks beside me.

"You leave early," Is all he says.
"Then don't walk with me."
"But I want too."

"Why?" I stop walking and face him. "Why are you talking to me."
"Thought I already told you that." He puts his hands into his hoodie pocket.

"It doesn't make sense. I'm not special, and you have other friends," I tell him and walk away. Craig doesn't follow.

I sit in my first class and wait for the bell to ring. Craig comes in and sits next to me. He doesn't speak to me at all. When I go to my next class, that's when people talk to me.

"Craig, you got an extra pencil?" Clyde asks when he turns around.
"No, dude I barely remember to bring my own stuff. Ask the teacher or something," Craig boredly replies.

"Ugh. Tweek, you got an extra pencil?" I look up from my desk to see Clyde looking at me.
"Yeah, hold on," I say and pull a pencil from my binder. I hand it to him and he thanks me. He doesn't look away though.

"Whatcha doin' for lunch?" Clyde asks.
"Oh, uh. Nothing, I guess."
"You should come sit with me and Craig and a few others in the cafeteria, they won't mind," he offers. I take a small pause. He's inviting me?

"Mhm, we won't mind." I look at Craig and his giving the same empty smirk he had two days ago.

"Okay, I will. Thank you," I tell Clyde with a smile. He looks forward again and Craig starts talking.

"You gonna sit next to me again?" He says in a teasing way.
"If I don't show up just know you're the reason," I say without once glancing at him.

"Why don't you like me?" He asked, kind of like a popular kid would ask the quiet one, and they'd not even like them.

"Because you're weird. You do stuff and you say stuff and it's.. weird." I started twitching more.
"Weird like your twitching?" He is so insolent.
"That- that right there i-is why," I say, looking at him and pointing.

"Then i'll try and tone it down," He says with a laugh. The teacher then yells at us for talking so I never get the chance to reply. Craig, however, passes me a note.
hey spaz.
I look to Craig and he turns his head away from me.

"I used to dream about escaping my ordinary life, but my life was never ordinary. I had simply failed to notice how extraordinary it was."
huh?
"When someone won't let you in, eventually you stop knocking."

I stared at the note. I read it all over at least three times before looking at Craig. He was listening to the teacher. I dropped my gaze back to the note where I put it into my binder.
The bell rung and I quickly stood up and went to my locker. I put all my stuff into it and when I turned around Craig was behind me.

"Jesus!" I said out of fright when I saw him. "Makin' sure you don't get lost trying to find us." Then he just stands there and waits. I start walking to the cafeteria and he follows.

He takes the lead eventually and sits at a table with Clyde, Kyle, Stan, and two boys I didn't recognize.

"Yo! Hey Tweek," Clyde says with a wave. Craig gets up and walks off.
"Hello," I say and sit across from Clyde.

"This is Stan, Kyle, Jimmy, and Tolkien," He said, pointing to the boys. Tolkien and Jimmy say hi but the other two don't say anything.

I listen to them talk before Craig came back and sat down.
"Where'd you go?" Clyde asks him. He holds up a cookie.

Throughout lunch I actually have a good time. I talked with everyone except Craig. Then the bell and we all had to leave. After school Craig walked behind me again, not saying a word. When I get to my house my parents are home.

"Tweek, do you mind working from three to nine?" My dad asks me.

"Sure," I reply. I head upstairs to get changed and then I have to leave. I start the walk to Tweak Bros and pass Craigs house on the way. When I get to the shop I go behind the counter and now I wait. It wasn't that busy, but had enough people to make sure I wasn't bored.

Nine finally came around and I could go home. While walking back home every little noise was making me flinch. I hate walking back home by myself in the dark. What if someone comes and kidnaps me or robs me! Oh god, oh god-

"GAH!" I involuntarily yelled out after another scratching noise was heard. Everytime that happened I began shaking more.

Eventually I returned to my house and calmed down. A lamp was turned on in the living room but both my parents were gone. As I head up to my room I turn off the lamp and saw both my parents sleeping in their rooms. At least tonight I can sleep without my alarm waking me up for seven.

I wake up and when I look at my clock I see it's eight thirty. So much for wanting to sleep in. I sit up and go downstairs to see my parents getting ready to leave.

"Tweek, we are just about to leave for work. We will be home by four and wanted to know if you could pick up the six to ten shift?" My mom spoke when she saw me.

"Yeah, I can work. See you at four then," I respond and watch them leave. I was used to always being on my own. My parents worked a lot and when they weren't working, I was at school or working myself.

I head to my kitchen where I make coffee and cereal. I eat and drink the coffee before going upstairs and changing into some decent clothes. I make sure I have my phone before walking out of my house.

I decide i'm going to try exploring this town now that I have to live here. I go the opposite way I usually would if I was going to work. I passed multiple stores and many houses before I reached a small clearing in trees. I walked in and there was a pond along with a bench, and a sign reading 'starks pond'.

I took a seat on the bench and stared at the pond. It had a few flowers around it, but other than that, it was just a pond. I stared it for a few moments before pulling out my phone. It was only ten thirty. I stood back up and decided i'd go back home and find something to do there.

Although I hate school, I also hate when there is no school because weekends are so boring. No friends, no plans, parents barely home, there's really nothing to do.

I get back home flip through the TV channels, eventually finding some lame racing cartoon and watching that. At one point I make myself a bagel and turn it into a sandwhich before going back to watching the television. Then I do approximately nothing until my parents get home. They say hi, my mom goes upstairs and my dad goes to start dinner. My mom goes downstairs again and goes into the kitchen to help my dad.

By the time dinners ready it's five. We eat and my parents talk a bit before telling me not to forget my shift. I nod. When i'm done I leave the house. It's about five thirty now.

When i'm walking, I stop outside of Craig's house. I heard a whole lot of yelling coming from inside.

"Thomas! You can not throw our son out because of this!" I heard a women yell.
"Don't tell me what to do! You can't possibly tell me this is normal?!" A man, probably Thomas said.

"It is! Craig is staying here."
"To hell he is! Boy, you best get out of my house or it's a boarding school you'll be sent to." After that, Craig was pushed out of the front door.

"Fuck you, dad!" Craig said and flipped him off. The door was slammed in his face. "This is bullshit!"

No one said anything else. Craig then turned around and we made eye contact. He didn't say anything. He looked away and walked past me. I watched him as he left. What happened to get him kicked out? I looked back at his house before continuing my walk to the coffee shop. The whole time I kept thinking; what happened? I tried not to care, but it was hard.
