Trigger warnings: implied past sa (Andrew's backstory not detailed), past drug addiction, depressive episode, sad thoughts, self hatred. Minor self inflicted injury (an accident).

Prompt: Aaron and Andrew get a therapy assignment to try and learn more about each other's partners. Andrew does his correctly, Aaron does not.

Aaron still didn't like therapy. He knew he was lucky enough to have sessions paid for him by the school and that some people couldn't access mental health aides like this. But he hated being so open about his problems with his brother, or the issues caused by his mother, in front of Bee.

There was nothing wrong with Bee, she was a perfectly nice woman. But something about admitting the things he's admitted to her since him and Andrew started their joint sessions left him feeling exposed. Vulnerable.

It was Monday, their joint session of the week, and Aaron knew she would be expecting him on Thursday as well. It was the start if his private sessions. Katelyn had suggested it, especially with the trial coming up.

So there he was, sitting in therapy with Andrew two hours before his next class. The session had been helping his relationship with his twin.

Naturally bee had to bring up their love lives. The one single thing that still angered Aaron and Andrew both. Andrew was private about his relationship with Neil, but it still pissed Aaron off.

He didn't care that Andrew was  gay like some people thought, he also didn't care that Nicky is gay. He just didn't want to hear about their love lives like Nicky insisted on sharing. And Andrew's boyfriend, well Aaron had some strong feelings about him.

"He's a fucking dick Andrew." Aaron complained.

Andrew ignored him. He tended to do that when Aaron complained about Neil. Aaron hated it, Andrew knew he did.

"Now Aaron. Andrew hasn't spoken about katelyn like that today, do you think it's fair to call Neil that?"

Well if Aaron wasn't already pissed, now he definitely was. Mostly because she's right, ever since they broke their deal Andrew has actually not spoken cruelly about Katelyn. Well he doesn't actually really talk to or about katelyn.

"That's because he ignores her fucking existence. I can't ignore Neil he's everywhere."

Literally Neil was everywhere. He was on their exy team, the co-captain of the team, and he was always with Andrew. Which meant if Aaron wanted to be around his brother he had to suffer and be with Neil.

"Katelyn is around a lot too." Andrew sounded bored, his face was completely blank as he sipped on his hot chocolate.

"And you don't interact with her. You don't know a single thing about her."

"Her name is Katelyn and she's a cheerleader with red hair."

Aaron considered strangling him. "Andrew you know that's not what I meant! I have to spend every day with your partner, you could at least attempt to spend time with mine or at least learn something about her!"

Andrew nodded his head. And Aaron just barely caught  the look in his eye. The look that said Andrew accepted  a challenge.

"Fine." Andrew's response was quick.

Bee smiled and wrote something down. Aaron wondered what she put.

"I think that'll be your assignment this week Andrew, and Aaron" he had a feeling he wasn't going to like what she said next. "You will do the same with Neil. Both of you try and give each other's partner a chance."

That's easier said than done.

Aaron was going to ignore the assignment, it was already Wednesday and he didn't think he could complete it. Nor did he actually expected Andrew to do it.
