Despite being exhausted from today, I didn't sleep much at Callie's. Not only do I not have my pills, but my mind was racing with ideas of what Chris and Nate meant by 'tomorrow'
Which is today. Meaning something was happening today and I don't know what it is. I really wish I could tear Katy and Justin a new one for messing with me, but I can't. I had all night to think about it while I couldn't sleep and the best thing I could do is let it go.
There are bigger things at play, and I don't want a high school rivalry to ruin and possibly, end my life.
If I retaliate and do something to Katy and Justin, they'll hit back bigger until I lose and I know I won't win this war. There are hundreds of things they could use against me, especially my secret. That would draw Martin to me and then it wouldn't be stupid drama anymore.
The last time Martin hunted me down, he was dedicated to hurting me and three innocent people died. Three lives because of me, and I have to live with that. This is bigger than some teenagers drama. It's bigger than Katy and Justin and their hatred for me, Chris and the guys.
Determined to tell Chris to drop any idea about revenge, I meet him at my locker and like he said, he was here early to get our stuff. He handed me my stuff and rushed away from me before I can even talk to him. Fine, he can't avoid me all day.
I plan on bothering him in second period, but the teacher gives us a simple test of the one we'll be getting on Monday, so no talking allowed. Chris got out of there before I could catch him, leaving Mike behind to apologise on his behalf.
By now, my friends know about what Katy and Justin did and they were pissed. Except no one really knows who I am, I'm lying to everyone. The thoughts of Martin and my life before, I pushed out of my mind.
"I still think we should go with my suggestion and punch her" Madison said, eating her yogurt.
Everyone but Chris and Nate was sitting at our table at lunch, talking about what happened to my car.
"Babe, we've been through this. You aren't allowed to punch her" Mike laughed at his girlfriend.
She mumbled something about Mike not letting her have any fun.
I looked at the seats that Chris and Nate used to sit at. Does them not being here have something to do with 'tomorrow'? Or did they mean tonight? I hope I'm not too late to tell them to drop it. I should've tried harder.
"Hey, Sabrina" a nasally voice said
We all look at Katy as she walked by with her friends. "I noticed your car isn't here. Still having problems with it?" They laughed and continued walking.
Madison stood up, but Mike immediately pulled her back down to her seat.
"If karma doesn't hit her soon, I will"
"I'm counting on that" Matt laughed.
"What are we going to do?" Callie asked
"Honestly, I think-" I tried to tell them to drop it, but no one paid attention
"Something that would really piss her off" Jack cut me off.
"No, guys I really think-"
"It has to be worse than what she did to Sabrina's car" Matt said, cutting me off.
"I'd rather-"
"We should break into her house!" Madison suggested.
"And put hair remover in her shampoo"
We all looked at Callie.
"Really, Callie? We just suggested breaking into her house, and the worst you can think of is hair remover?" Jack joked with her
