EVANGELINA'S POV
We sit around the table, enjoying a delicious meal. I have determination to make this work for us. I tries to strike up a conversation like I used to.
"Hey," I smile. "Do you remember the first time we met?"
Bruno looks at me confused at the random question. "How could I forget? You were the only 8 year old brave enough to cling to me for safety of all people."
"Well, I guess you can say I've always admired things that stand out." I stare into his eyes, my tone turns sultry.
That actually made him blush.
"Could you pass the salt, pretty please?" I smile innocently. Caught off guard by my flirtatiousness, Bruno fumbles with the salt shaker, almost dropping it.
"Uh, here you go." He cleared his throat, embarrassed.
Camilo, sitting across from Bruno, stifles a giggle as he watches the exchange. "Oh, Tío, I think you need more practice passing the salt." he teases. Bruno blushes, feeling flustered by the unexpected attention. I pat his shoulder. "It's okay, Bruno. You're doing just fine." Mirabel joins with a grin. "Everything alright Tio Bruno? You're looking a little red this morning." Dolores smirks. "It's almost like he's blushing."
Not the kids ganging up on him XD
Bruno clears his throat, feeling more embarrassed by the second. "So, uh, any plans for the day?" trying to change the subject.
I lean into his ear, still flirting. "Well, I was thinking of spending some quality time with a certain someone, but if he's too busy-"
Bruno spits his coffee like a water hose, causing me to burst into laughter.
"Relax. I'm just teasing." I say playfully.
He wipes his mess. "You got me there."
"I'm actually going to make some trips. Wanna come?"
"Uh- can't. But enjoy your husband free time."
"I will see you later, husband."
I kiss him on the cheek before leaving, rendering the ratman astonished.
CASA GONZALEZ
"I miss Eva. It's weird not seeing her around." Well dang, I haven't been gone a day yet and Adriano is already grieving my presence.
"Adriano, Eva is a married woman now. She has things to attend to."
"Those things can include seeing my family, Tricia." I stand in the front doorway. Adriano rushes to me with a hug, his tone full of desperation. "Lili, please come back home."
"I am married now. But I will visit as much as I can."
"So how was your first night, Mrs. Madrigal?" Tricia teases.
"Rough, I guess?"
Lio chokes on his drink. Another water hose.
"EW! I'M EATING HERE!" he gagged.
"THAT'S NOT WHAT I'M TALKING ABOUT!!" My face turned red.
Tricia chuckles.
"Congratulations on your little bundle of joy. What do you think it will be?"
"Uh... a boy?"
Another thing we haven't discussed yet.
"Just wanted to swing by see ya'll stupid faces, and it's clear that one of you missed me"
