After she spent almost two weeks thinking of a way to get back at the Slytherins, she finally came up with a plan. She waited until all of the boys were busy, before she went out to fulfill her plan. She waited as each person that attacked her came out of the dungeon. As each passed, she'd knock them out with a spell, then she'd drag them down to the closet nearby and locked them in.
There were four boys that ended up inside of the closet. She had used a spell to lock the door, and she knew the silence and darkness was scaring them. It was her own form of punishment, and she liked hearing them call for someone to let them out. It scared her that she liked the feeling this gave her, and what scared her more was the little voice in her head that seemed to erupt out of nowhere.
"Burn them! Scar them! Show them who you are!" The voice told her, but she tried to ignore it.
She stayed outside of the closet for an hour, listening to their shouting and eventual crying. She didn't care, this was their punishment for attacking her. She wanted them to feel the pain and feel how scared every muggleborn that they attacked would feel. She thought it was the best form of punishment, without causing any bodily harm.
Before she knew it though, McGonagall had come down the hall. She heard the crying, and she caught Jaycee before the girl could run off. McGonagall made her wait, as she let the four Slytherins out of the closet. When they stepped out of the closet, scared out of their wits, Jaycee simply smirked at them. They quickly ran off, leaving the area as quick as they could.
"You are acting just like your father," McGonagall stated, though her voice was low,"this calls for detention, and you're going to tell me exactly why you did this."
Jaycee followed after McGonagall, and she didn't even feel bad about what she had done. To be honest, Jaycee was scared of her own mind, but that didn't mean she felt any remorse for what she did. They had it coming, she know they did, and she felt good about what she did.
"Why did you lock those students in the closet?" McGonagall asked, as she brought Jaycee to her classroom.
"They had it coming." She replied, making McGonagall sigh.
"And how could they have it coming?" The woman asked, crossing her arms.
"They attacked me a couple of weeks ago," She said,"if it wasn't for James, I would've been badly hurt, or worse, and nobody would've seen it coming. I had to show them what it was like to be me and everyone else they ever attacked."
"Well, for your actions, you're getting a detention," McGonagall stated,"next time tell someone that you've been attacked. I would rather you tell someone, instead of potentially putting a bigger target on your back, or possibly seriously hurting another student."
Jaycee was given the job of cleaning McGonagall's classroom after the first years' class. She did so silently, but the entire time she contemplated telling McGonagall about the voice in her head that she heard when she had put the Slytherins in the closet. She decided that she wouldn't tell the woman though, since she didn't want to be put in a psychward.
She knew that her father and mother heard voices when they became known criminals. She didn't want to be like them, so she refused to listen to the voices. She also refused to tell anyone about them, since she didn't want to be psychoanalyized.
Once her detention was over, Jaycee headed straight to her common room. Sirius, James, and Remus were waiting on her. They greeted her with hugs, as well as asking her what she did to get detention with McGonagall. The woman seemed to think Jaycee could do no wrong, but suddenly she did, and they wanted to know what happened.
"I locked Slytherins into a closet in the dark, with a silencing charm. I wanted them to feel what it felt like for all the kids they attacked." Jaycee replied, but James was the one who understood that she also meant herself.
"How'd you get them in there?" Remus asked, causing her to shrug.
"I knocked them out with a spell, and dragged them one by one to the closet. They had to wake up in the dark and quiet together." She answered, and they looked at her with wide eyes.
"That's sounds very much like torture, a little past a prank, JJ." James commented, but she simply shrugged once again.
James and Remus shared a look, before they decided they were going to leave Sirius and Jaycee alone in the common room together. The two needed to talk, and possibly discuss why she had pretty much tortured four Slytherins. The boys couldn't say much since they had pranked the Slytherins a lot, but never something like this.
"Did you purposely mean to torture them?" Sirius asked, causing her to sigh.
"Look, I didn't see it as torture, Sirius. I was just showing them how us muggleborns feel. You lot wouldn't understand, since your blood status is better than ours." She retorted, making Sirius frown.
"I'm not attacking you, JJ. I'm simply asking you a question." He replied, and she shook her head.
"Can you keep a secret?" She asked, making his eyebrows furrow.
"You know I can." He answered, and she nodded.
"When I locked them up, there was a voice telling me to burn them and make them know who I was." She said, her voice quiet.
"Do you feel like it's an alternate personality or something?" He asked, causing her to shrug.
"I don't know, but I need you to make sure I don't hurt someone because of it." She replied, and he nodded.
"I'll protect you," He murmured,"and no one will know what happened."
Jaycee was glad she had someone like Sirius, otherwise she'd feel like she was truly alone in this new struggle she was facing...
