"Jaycee! Get down here you devil child!" Called the head lady, Beatrice, from the bottom of the stairs.

Jaycee ran down the steps quickly, knowing if she was too slow, Beatrice would come up and beat her. Jaycee hated the orphanage, but she couldn't do anything about it. She was stuck there, since her parents were incapable of taking care of her. She didn't know them well, since she was taken from them when she was merely five years old, but she could somewhat remember them.

"Yes, Miss?" Jaycee murmured, as she walked into the main area.

"This woman here wants to speak with you. Apparently being a devil child isn't enough for you." Beatrice spat, before walking out of the room.

"Are you here to adopt me or lock me up with my parents?" Jaycee asked, sitting down on the grimy couch in the corner of the room.

"I'm here with some news for you, Miss Quinn." McGonagall said, as she slowly sat down on the questionable looking couch.

McGonagall didn't like the looks of the orphanage. The building looked condemned on the outside, and the inside wasn't much better. The walls had cracks and holes in them. The floor boards had gaps in them where air could get in and allow the poor children to freeze during the winter months. She also didn't like the way the head lady treated Jaycee, it was quite despicable.

"Miss Quinn, you're a witch." McGonagall said, as she passed Jaycee the letter.

Jaycee's eyebrows furrowed, as she opened the letter and shook her head. She let out a humorless laugh, as she looked back over to the older woman.

"This is a joke, isn't it?" Jaycee commented, a frown etched on her face.

"No, Miss Quinn, it's quite real." McGonagall replied, as she pulled out her wand.

With a quick wave of her wand, McGonagall fixed the broken table near the couch. Jaycee's eyes widened as she watched the magic happen right in front of her face.

"B-but I don't know anything about magic, Miss. How would I be able to participate in third year?" Jaycee asked, causing the older woman to smile.

"Well, Miss Quinn, I'd be your transfiguration professor. I'm Professor Mcgonagall, and I'll give you private lessons on anything you need help with. I believe you're quite the bright witch, so you shouldn't need much help." McGonagall stated, and Jaycee smiled slightly.

"When would I be going?" Jaycee asked, feeling butterflies in her stomach.

"School starts on the first of September." McGonagall answered, handing the list of supplies to Jaycee.

"That's only a few days from now," Jaycee commented, before looking down at the list,"Where am I supposed to find this stuff? How am I supposed to pay for this stuff? I don't have any money." She murmured, her heart beating quite loudly.

"Miss Quinn, I sent aurors to your parents' home, and they found quite a bit of money there. Since you are their daughter, I figured they'd be fine with you using the money. I've already set you up with a vault in Gringotts, which has quite a bit of money in it. We're the only wizarding school who has accepted you, so with certain arrangements, we'll be moving you to live with a wizard family, who'll help you learn some things before you're sent to Hogwarts." McGonagall stated, and Jaycee nodded slightly.

Jaycee hated the idea of anyone entering her family home and taking things. That money belonged there, not in a wizarding back. She couldn't do anything about it now, but she would've if she had known beforehand. She also hated the idea of leaving America, since that was where her parents were. Eventually she was going to try and find them, but she couldn't now. One way or another she'd find them again, even if it took drastic measures.

"What family?" Jaycee asked, looking up at Mcgonagall with hesitance in her eyes.

Jaycee hated the orphanage, but she didn't want to leave it either if the wizard family she was going to be stuck with was awful. She couldn't deal with anyone being remotely mean to her, since she had quite the temper.

"A pure-blood family by the name of Weasley. They're a young couple, Arthur and Molly. They have two little boys, the oldest is about to be three and the baby is soon to be one. They've agreed to house you if you're willing." McGonagall said, causing Jaycee to sigh.

The idea of having a proper family made her heart flutter, but she was also very skeptical. She was worried that they'd send her back over something minor, and she'd never be able to complete her schooling. The more she thought about it, the more she realized she didn't need to be worried. She remembered how fearless her parents are, so she needed to be the same. She needed to be fearless and determined like them.

"Yes, I would like to stay there." Jaycee answered, and McGonagall smiled.

"Alright, Miss Quinn. Go and pack your things. I'm going to get Molly and I'll be right back." McGonagall said, before she quickly apparated away.

Jaycee ran back up the stairs and began to pack her things, as she waited for McGonagall and Mrs Weasley to get back. She was excited but she was also worried, she was scared they wouldn't come back for her.

"You can do this Jaycee. Mom and Dad wouldn't hate you for finding a family. They'd be happy you had someone to raise you. They'd be proud of you." Jaycee said to herself, while she stared into her broken handheld mirror.

There were many things running through her head, but every so often she'd see a glimpse of her parents' smiling faces. Sure, their smiles were a bit psychotic, but they smiled. She loved them, even though she didn't know really anything about them. She wished she knew them, but she just couldn't get her wish...

A/N: I hope you guys liked this chapter. I didn't put face claims for Molly, Arthur, Bill, or Charlie, but I really didn't feel it was too important. We all know what they looked like in the movies, so let's just go with younger versions of that.

Love you guys!
