"Lynn!" Drew's voice coming from the door of the bed started me. My eyes flew open and I sat up.

"What? What? Are we dying? Is the ship exploding?" I exclaimed, jumping out of bed, ready to battle.

He laughed and shook his head.

"Nope. I've just been telling you to wake up for the past five minutes," he said, unusually energetic.

I groaned and rubbed my eyes.

"Why, though?" I asked, clearly annoyed.

"Well Nya told me to wake you up because we need clothes and we're going shopping!" He sounded excited at the thought of spending someone else's money. Me too.

"How are you this awake? What time is it?" I groaned, reaching for my shoes.

"7:30," he answered, grinning. So, he was obviously a morning person.

"That's so early, holy First Master!"

Drew shrugged in a way that said 'well, too bad'.

I shook my head and bit back a smile. I was too tired to smile.

With my shoes on, we stepped outside of my room and walked towards where Drew said the kitchen was.

But Kai blocked the way.

"Yo. Move," I spoke calmly.

"You look like a hobo," he observed, looking over my hair, before shifting his eyes to Drew, who was looking at the ground. Kai was probably right, my hair was incredibly tangled, and the tape on my nose didn't help.

"Well you look like knock off Sonic the Hedgehog, so you can't say anything," I put my hands on my hips and glared up at him.

Kai stopped observing Drew and looked back to me, and he rolled his eyes.

"Whatever."

And with that, he shoved past us and walked away.

"He's such a jerk," I mumbled to Drew, "we didn't even do anything to him."

He nodded hesitantly.

"Yeah, but he's so..." he stopped talking and shook his head. "Never mind."

We went to the dining room. It had a big table in the middle of it, and a fridge against a wall. Almost everybody was there, eating cereal.

"Oh my, Lynn," Nya said, looking at me. "I'll get you a hairbrush."

She got up from her spot, bowl of cereal already empty, and shuffled out of the room.

I shrugged and sat down next to Cole, who had a mouthful of cereal. He looked at me and smiled, picking up a handful of my hair.

"I know it's tangled. You're the third one to comment today," I grumbled, taking an empty bowl and pouring cereal in it.

"Do you have to deal with that every day?" Jay asked from across the table.

"Yep," I said, popping the 'p'.

"That sounds annoying," he commented, taking a bite from his bowl.

"Honestly, I'd just shave it all off. I could never deal with that much hair," Drew said, taking a seat next to me.

"Hm. I used to have a friend that did that. It suits her," I remembered, and I started eating my cereal.

Cole and Jay collectively nodded, and a silence fell over the room.

"Got it!" I heard Nya's rather loud voice enter the room, and I started to stand up so I could take the hairbrush for her.

"Nonono! Let me do it," she insisted, so I sat back down.
