Drew's POV

The song for this chapter is After the Storm by Kali Uchis

"Hey, can you go find something for me really quick?"

Lynn spoke to me, and I looked up. I'd only been half listening to what she said.

"Pardon?"

"Can you get something for me? I gotta go somewhere," Lynn asked.

I thought it was a little strange that she didn't just go get it herself, but I assumed she was busy with something else already.

"Sure," I agreed, rising from the couch.

"Uh, yeah," Lynn said, scratching an itch on her face, "I think I left your sunglasses in the closet."

Oh, now I was interested. I guess I didn't care if she used my sunglasses, but she could at least put them back.

With a nod, I strode out the room and to the closet, where apparently my glasses had been left. Not sure what Lynn was doing in a closet, but I decided not to think about it.

I left the closet door open for some light as I stepped fully into the closet. It was small. I could just barely fit in there. And it was dark.

I tried to push out the feeling of fear that crept over me as I looked over the shelves for my shades.

It didn't take very long for me to realize that this was a closet for cleaning supplies. There weren't any sunglasses in here.

Maybe it was a different closet? Or I could try looking again.

Then I felt someone slam into me, and I was pushed up against the shelves.

"Ow!" I exclaimed, hearing the door slam behind me.

"Hey!" The voice of Kai yelled angrily, directed at the door.

There was a click.

"Cole! What's wrong with you?!"

Kai seemed to try and kick the door, but he couldn't find enough room to raise his leg. Even when he was up against me, it took up all of the room in the closet.

I didn't do anything. I just froze. I also couldn't breathe, and I was still up against a shelf that was digging into my chest.

Kai gasped a little.

"Drew, I'm so sorry!" He apologized, his voice dripping with nervousness.

"It's fine. It's just a little cramped in here," I chuckled nervously. It hurt to laugh.

I felt Kai nod. I was sure he'd just laugh it off like nothing had happened, if his chest wasn't pressed up tightly against my back.

"When I get out of here, I'm gonna murder Cole," he mumbled, trying to ease the awkwardness. It didn't really work for me.

This had to be the most awkward and embarrassing moments of my whole life. It was dark, extremely cramped, and I could feel Kai's breath against my neck.

Our heavy breathing was the only thing that broke the silence.

"I should probably turn around, shouldn't I? This is a weird... position," I mentioned, earning a huff of amusement from the fire ninja. I took that as a yes, and started to try and turn around.

Kai decided to try and help. He leaned against the door as much as he could, freeing about an inch of space, which still wasn't a lot, and grabbed me to help me.

But I didn't expect him to grab my waist. I froze as soon as I felt his rather warm fingers touch me.

Once he noticed my reaction, he immediately took away his hands.
