"Why did you kidnap me?!" I demanded, glaring at my father. "I'm all for family reunions, BUT I DON'T THINK THIS IS HOW IT WORKS!"

"We know you're pregnant. We assume the father is either Fang or Iggy. Even if it's a human, this is a huge scientific discovery!" His smile was that of a scientist who learned something was possible, not of a father learning he was going to be a grandfather.

"H-how did you know?!"

"We wanted to get our hands on at least you, Fang or Iggy, just to run a couple more tests now that you're all adults. I had someone plant the bomb to get you to the hospital where I have a spy. He looked at your charts and told us you were pregnant. It was a huge, amazing change in our plans!"

"Not for me! You shouldn't even have kidnapped me! Besides, I can easily break the glass and escape."

"No, you can't. It's unbreakable glass, the kind they use for bomb testing. I really am sorry, Max."
"If you're so sorry, you would let me outta here!" I shouted as he stood up and walked away.

After a while I heard the door open again, and I crouched into a defensive position. To my surprise, I heard growling and soon something was shoved into my cell (room?) before the door slammed shut.

"Let me out of here!" The creature that I now identified as an Eraser, shouted, banging his hands against the door. He turned around, and now I recognized his face. "Hey Max. Sorry, I tried to get you out." Ari said, the scar by his eye shining.

"Ari?! But, you're dead! You died thrice!"

"Jeb wanted to try again. They thought that if I kept my memories I would still want to help them. I turned to try and get you out. Now they're putting me in here." He finished with a shrug.

"Why? Why would you help me?"

"I feel bad. You shouldn't be locked in here, not when you can be with your family." I shook, remembering Fang and the rest of the flock. I twisted the ring on my finger, deciding whether or not to tell Ari.

"Ari, I'm married to Fang." He seemed to consider this."Cool. I expected as much when they told me you were pregnant." I don't know what I was expecting him to say, but it wasn't that. "All the more reason to get you out." He continued, walking over to the door to examine it.
