A/N: I know I said the next chapter would come out in November buuut I couldn't wait to share the next chapter and this story in general with you guys. Plus, my uni classes have been relatively easy thus far so I had time to flesh out even more of the timeline! I hope you enjoy this chapter!!

Bright light.

It was an all-encompassing feeling.

That's all she saw. That's all she felt.

She tried to speak but nothing came out.

All the rest of her senses were turned off it seemed.

Where -in the nine circles of hell- was she? Elvira thought to herself. And then she realized that she could think.

A very weird experience, to say the least. To not have eyes but see, to not have a brain but think.

A laugh echoed in her mind and around her. The sound resonated in her whole being and the space around her as if coming from all directions. The laugh was eerily familiar.

If Elvira could actually move she would have looked around to find the source of the voice. Well, that's what she would like to believe she would do, in actuality, she would have frozen up and probably shat her pants.

The laugh was heard again.

Though this time Elvira was able to identify more aspects of the laugh. The voice laughing was definitely female that she was sure of.

What she could not comprehend was why it sounded like her late grandmother's laugh.

Just as she caught on that fact the voice spoke.

"What a clever one you are! It took you like .2 seconds! A new record for sure, right Macha?

"Yes, indeed, Anu. Though I suspect Badb already knew that." This voice was much more disturbing to Elvira as it was as if her mother had risen from the dead.

"Macha, Anu we are scaring her." This time Elvira thought she had spoken out loud.

"Oops! I suppose we should reveal ourselves, then!" Elvira's grandmother's voice spoke.

And somehow the bright light that Elvira was seeing became even brighter. Then it died down and in front of her stood three women Elvira thought she'd never see again.

Her sight first fell on her Grandmother Elswyth, or best known to her as Nana Ely. A nickname Elvira herself had inherited from her. She was just as Elvira remembered her. Wrinkled, big, almond-shaped, bluish-green eyes staring at her with a wide smile companied with more wrinkles plastered on her face and a mess of grey curly hair on top of her head. But all other details Elvira couldn't decern. It was like Nana was airbrushed, all details blurry.

Then she moved her sight onto the next person. She felt like she had been doused with a bucket of cold water. Her mother, Sylvia, stood in all her glory with a neutral expression on her face. Blond wavy hair that reached her shoulders, dark blue eyes- resembling a storm- looking straight through her soul, and small pink lips stretched into an almost smile-almost frown. Again small details were not easily comprehended by Elvira's eyes.
