After helping getting Liv (my dog) from the vet and picking up my little cousin brother, Oliver, from school, I headed straight back home. Oliver was living with us as his parents were out of station.
I know it's kinda weird for a college guy like me to still stay with my parents because usually you like privacy and all but I'd rather stay with my family than alone. Staying with your loved ones is never tiring. For me atleast.
As I got out of my car, there was a guy ringing Emily's doorbell with a box in hand. It still feels surreal that Emily is back.
"Excuse me ?" I was brought back to my thoughts when Oliver tapped me on my arm and ran inside.
"Y-yeah?"
"Umm there is a parcel for umm.. Miss Emily, no-one is opening." I gaze landed on the window of Emily's living room and there she was asleep. I rolled my eyes.
"Oh you can give it to me" I said and he nodded giving me the box from above the fence that separated our houses.
Damn this was heavy, what the heck is in this. He went after taking my signature and left. I went over to her house after locking my car and rang her doorbell like a maniac. This was fun.
The door soon opened after 15 bells. I know. There she was standing with messy hair and by messy hair I mean literally messy hair. Her eyes were full of annoyance and her brows were furrowed.
I entered her house and kept the box on the counter. Looking inside the box there were ton of books, so she reads romance novels as expected. I gave a smile mentally.
After several hours when all her books and groceries were set and at their place, we just sat there doing nothing. She was making pasta while I was looking through her phone. It was left opened on the counter and I just couldn't help but notice that cute little wallpaper of us from our childhood.
"Noah just leave my phone" she groaned with her back towards me, she was busy cooking.
"Nah" I said lazily as I went through her photos.
They were mostly of a girl and her, maybe her bestfriend or pictures of the nature and some selfies.
"You never had a boyfriend?" I asked still going through her pics, no signs of boys here. Somewhere that made me relaxed and happy. Why though?
"Nope, I had many things on my plate. Boyfriend was not on my list." She said serving the pasta. Damn it looked delicious.
I hummed when suddenly the phone was snatched. I looked at her annoyed and angry face. "I'm looking through your phone next time and you'll not stop me" she ordered pointing the spatula at me.
I dragging the plate towards me and began eating. And that ladies and gentlemen was the best pasta ever. Id never tell her that.
After eating and getting to know each other a little I went back home. Going to my room I noticed her curtains still closed. I picked a small pebble from a fake plant pot in my room and threw it on her window. She opened it quickly, confusion on her whole face. She opened her window. "What!" She yelled.
'keep your curtains open" I mouthed and she just rolled her eyes and disappeared from sight. Okay, I ain't some creepo but I just wanna look at her, no matter how much I deny, she was really pretty but whatever.
I chuckled going back and scrolling through my phone, laying on my bed.
I got up and decided to finally go to bed when I looked out of my window into hers. She was standing on her night suit and she looked...well I'm speechless. She was standing infront of the long mirror and drying her hair with her towel. She was about to turn around so I just ran towards my closet to get my clothes and go shower.
We had large sliding windows and a small balcony attached. There was a little gap from my balcony to hers but I Could easily jump from mine to hers.
After showering, I sat on my desk and picked a book to read. Her room lights were off and her curtains were almost closed. I read my book until it was maybe 2am. I was about to sleep when her lights switched on. Did she wake up? I furrowed my brows when I saw her running to her bathroom. And then going back towards her bed.
I ignored it and went to sleep.

I woke up in the morning and groaned because of the sunlight entering in my room, though my room looked pretty cool but still.
I got out of bed and rubbed my eyes, walking absentmindedly towards the balcony. As I slid open the window, I found her already standing there and yawning. I smirked and all my sleep just vanished like it never existed. Her night suit was wrinkled and her hair were now in a messy bun with a few strands loose. I noticed a small tattoo on her neck at the backside. Interesting.
She yawned again but this time she stretched her upper body makeing her top go upwards, revealing her waist. My eyes widened and I turned around walking back inside. Woah.
I went to the bathroom to distract my mind and just brushed my teeth. She was just back and is already destroying my mindset. Ughhh.
I groaned and wore a loose sleeveless black shirt and short. Grabbing my ipod and my airpods and putting them in my pocket I went down.
"Morning dad" I greeted, he was sitting on the couch, reading the paper.
"Morning" he said passing me a small smile.
I went to the kitchen, greeted mom and went out after drinking water. As soon as I got out, she was there yet again but now in short revealing clothes. Her gym clothes. Did she jog in the morning too.
"Why are you everywhere!" I groaned, soon realising that I said it out loud. Shit.
She gave me a glare like she'd murder me this instant. " Oh sorry Noah my parents chose a house next to yours, I'm sorry to be everywhere." She said sarcastically, putting on her earbuds and began to jog. I groaned again and followed her. Great.
She was wearing a black Nike gym bra with black Nike leggings and white shoes. Her hair were in a loose ponytail, a few strands falling on her face.
