Elena walked into the kitchen-like classroom with a visible pep in her step as she hummed the tune of one of Oper's songs she had listened to during Horroristory. Taking a seat at one of the black and purple bar-like desks, she made sure she was alone this time before she took out her supplies. After a moment, Elena heard the door to the classroom close and looked up to see her... surprisingly normal looking teacher.

She was a short, stout woman not much taller than herself, with large round glasses and caucasion skin. She had large, buggish blue eyes and gray hair that was held back by a light green bandana, and wore a calico patchwork dress. She looked like a kind grandmother, and reminded Elena of her own maternal grandmother back in Japan, despite the fact they both looked very different physically.

'I suppose they just have that matronly air about them... ", the blonde thought as the teacher wrote her name on the black board white chalk. In neat, loopy cursive, it read;

Ms. Kindelbrunger

Turning back to face her class, the elderly woman smiled warmly.

"Good morning children. For those of you who are returning after last year, welcome back. For those of you who are new to Monster High, I am Ms. Kindelbrunger, but I know that name is very hard to pronounce, so please, feel free to call me Ms. K instead.", Ms. Kindelbrunger said sweetly, and Elena already liked her. The teacher continued.

"Today, we will not be doing anything too elaborate; we will just be cooking a baked himalaya. You may work in groups of two or three. Please open your recipe books to page twenty-eight and begin.", Ms. K told them, and everyone did as she said, albeit with a bit of grumbling and a few smiles at the word 'groups'. Elena opened the textbook that had been at the bar when she had arrived. Just as she was about to search for the ingredients and begin cooking, the blonde noticed that everyone had brought their own aprons, oven mitts, and depending on who needed them, tools to pull their hair back. Elena had none of these things.

The green eyed girl began to hyperventilate. She hadn't been given a syllabus for any of her classes, so she had assumed she just needed the usual school supplies. Apparently she didn't, and now she was going to get yelled at and fail and-

Just as she was about to start crying, her kind faced teacher walked up to her with a bundle of purple fabric.

"There there, child. There's no need to panic. Headmistress Bloodgood already informed me that you hadn't been given a syllabus in the chaos of getting you enrolled, so I took the liberty of purchasing the extra supplies you would need for you.", Ms. K said, holding out the bundle to her student. Elena looked at it in wonder before slowly taking it.

"You-you didn't have to do that, ma'am.", the human girl whispered quietly. Ms. K laughed quietly and smiled.

"I wanted to, child. I've never taught a human before, so I wanted to help make you feel as welcome as possible.", the kindly teacher answered, and Elena smiled widely when she unfolded the bundle of fabric and discovered that it was a gorgeous apron patterned with skulls, a matching scrunchy for her hair and pair of oven mitts, and a small sewing kit.

"Thank you so much!", the green eyed girl said sincerely. Ms. K laughed jovially.

"Anytime, child. And remember, you're graded on progress, not success, so don't be afraid to make mistakes and ask for help!", the teacher said, before walking about to check the progress of her other students. Elena put her hair up and apron on and got to work.

"Let's see, baked himalaya...", she mumbled to herself, skimming over the instructions and blinking when she saw the cooking process and a picture of the end product.
