A Light In Darkness

After getting the sword of destruction I began training to use it's power without summoning the spirit within but for me the more I use it the more I feel a dark presence surround me hungry for destruction. "I need to get stronger" I tell myself as I swing the sword with all the force I can but the weight made it tough to swing but I continue as it slowly begins to glow. I gave one more swing as a large wave of energy came from the blade cutting through the air as sand was kicked up from the impact but I felt such a drain from it I could barely lift the sword.

"I must get stronger" I tell myself as I force my body to pick up the sword but during my training someone was watch me but I didn't care enough to look as I continue with my training but I could tell it was someone familiar. While I was training the others were all doing their own thing Ruby was enjoying a plate of cookies, Yang was having a test of strength with Elm, Weiss was training with Winter to improver her glyphs, Blake was reading her books while Jaune, Ren and Nora all catch up on what each of them missed.

I finished training as I head back to the house but on my way I see all of them laughing having fun but for me nothing matters as I knew what would happen should we fail to defeat Salem before I bump into Weiss and Winter who had also finished their glyph practice. "Oh F/n are you alright?" Weiss asked but I just walk past her but Winter was quick to grab my arm making me stop but I don't look at her only tell her to let go but she doesn't so I make her. I kick Winter in the stomach sending her into a wall which made her let go of my arm as Weiss ran over to her but just as I was about to walk away a wall of ice blocks my path only for me to look back and see Winter using her maiden power.

"I'm warning you Winter don't do this" I tell her but she didn't listen as I dodge her thrust jumping over her before I kick her against the ice wall before she blasts me back with an icy wind. "I don't know what is wrong with you but ever since you got that sword your attitude has changed so I'll ask nicely hand it over" Winter says as I smile because of the thrill of being in a real fight one where only one of use will walk away with their life.

"This sword is mine, I will kill Salem and no one will stand in my way" I say as I take hold of the sword and rushed Winter cutting through her maiden power with ease much to her surprise as I could only smile before going for her neck but just before I could connect two blade block me they belonged to Qrow and Raven. "Kid stand down before you do something you regret" Qrow tells me but I shove them away before jumping back as I soon noticed I'm surrounded by everyone who all seem to be ready for a fight. "Looks like the gangs all here but who will blink first" I say as I ready myself for their attacks but none of us make a move before I rushed at Qrow but that was a mistake as I soon feel myself getting hit from all directions but I remain on my feet.

"Is that it because it's pathetic" I tell them as they remain ready to attack as I saw Ozpin walk forward as I ready my weapon to attack. "It seems your mind is clouded by darkness but you need to remember who this power is for" Ozpin says as my eyes glow red but I soon feel a pulse run through my head as if something was trying to break through.

"Stop it get out of my head" I say as everyone remains around me as I try to hold my weapon towards Ozpin but something was holding me back I soon hear my voice but I didn't know why. "You will let me go" my voice said as I scream while gripping my before a cloud of black smoke comes out of my mouth before forming what seems to be a Grimm but before it could finish I kill it with the sword which everyone saw. "Someone mind telling me what happened?" I asked as I feel team RWBY hold me in a tight hug and it seems Salem had a Grimm watching Vacuo and once me, Ozpin and Glynda retrieved the relic it took over my body but thanks to everyone it was gone before a dark cloud begins to move towards us and I know Salem was here.

"Looks like the final battle is here" Qrow said as I step forward as the wind blows like a tornado but I grip the sword tightly and turn to face the others. "The enemy we face is one who has lived for many years but today we make a stand to not only protect our friends and family but to protect our home" I say as they all seem ready for the fight ahead as all the other huntsmen and huntress start joining us as we all head towards the swarm of Grimm ready to protect our world.
