ABHIRAJ'S POV

I silently cursed looking at all the pending files on my desk. I hate keeping backlog but here I am.

Great start for the day.

Setting my laptop, I take a look at my to-do list for today.

Meetings, lunch with a board member, conference in the afternoon, and dropping Ishika back to her house.

Gonna be a busy day... Wait a minute, dropping Ishika.

My brows drew together in annoyance. Why is it mentioned in the list?

Picking up the intercom, "Come in my office right now," I ordered Neil, my secretary.

"Knock knock."

"Come in."

"Yes, boss."

"Who told you to add my personal work to this list." I lifted my eyebrows, in question.

"Sir Mrs. Rajvansh called early in the morning and instructed me to do so, and she'll also be reaching the office in some time."
He says, looking a little scared.

"Okey. This time I'll let it slip. But remember to contact me first before taking orders from someone. It's me who is paying you. Am I clear?"

I snarled. I hate it when someone tries to interfere with my life in particular.

It's unacceptable. And my mother has yet not understood the fact.

"Sor...,"

"Leave."

The door closes with a thud.

Lately, things are running out of my control. It feels as if my life decisions are not mine anymore.

I scrunch my face remembering the past 10 days' happenings. Never thought I'd be a married man a week before.

I had to oblige with my family's decision or more precisely my mother's. I had no choice. They were hell-bent on getting me married.

By hook or by crook.

But I trusted them with this thing whether I had wanted this or not.

I believed they'll make a good decision.

My mind flashed back to the day when My parents called me to the mansion. They were hell bent on getting me married.

My jaws clench, for sure my mother didn't know about my priorities, my choices.

She never knew, I tusked.

I still can't believe I am married to a woman like Ishika or more appropriately put, a girl. We both are not a good match for each other. She is the complete opposite of the woman I would ever want as my wife.

She is like any other girl you'll see. An ordinary woman. Her features aren't unattractive but they fail to catch a focus in a glance. She's someone who'll rarely be a choice for a guy.
