"Ne, Sara-chan, can I ask you something?" Kakei Sumire asked her best friend.

"You already did," Sarada pointed out.

"Ah! Sorry," Sumire exclaimed.

"All good." Sarada laughed. "Anyway, what's up?" she excitedly asked her best friend.

"Um, I dunno if your mom told you this, but I visited her because I wasn't feeling well... A-And I found out something that..." Sumire stuttered slightly.

"Oh? You visited Mom? What happened? Everything okay?" Sarada asked worriedly.

"Eh... Um... I'm pregnant..."

"EH!?!?" Sarada shouted as she stopped walking and turned to her best friend, shock present on her face. "Who's the father!? H-H-HOW!?"

"Do you not know how babies are made, Sara-chan?" Sumire inquired, a little amused.

Sarada blushed in embarrassment and adverted her eyes. "U-U-Uh... T-That's not what I meant!" Sarada turned her eyes back to her best friend, peering at her from her glasses. "Anyway, who's the father?" she questioned, regaining her composure.

Sumire looked down for a moment, before fixing her gaze back on Sarada. "Um, I'd much rather not share," she murmured.

"But I'm your best friend!" Sarada reasoned.

Sumire smiled sadly. "Um, it's complicated, but I dunno what to do. It's ruining my chance in the Scientific Research Department, and... and..."

Sarada placed her hands on her best friend's shoulders. "Okay... I won't force you, but... If you wanna stay safe, and which I'm guessing the father mustn't be known about, I suggest you go live in a different village... Maybe until the child's born, then give it up, then come back," Sarada suggested.

Sumire stared into Sarada's pitch black eyes, noticing that her crimson glasses reflected her violet ones. "Okay... I'll be back in a year, I suppose... Um, what should we say to the others?" Sumire questioned.

"Leave that to me. You just go to the Hidden Mist Village, let me deal with everyone here, especially your ex-teammates and Boruto-Jun, okay?" Sarada said.

Sumire took a deep breath. "Okay..."
