"Mommy!" a twelve year old girl's voice filled the room.
The woman who was cooking turned to see her daughter come running in with a huge smile, holding up a letter which the woman had never seen before. It looked a little familiar, but different at the same time.
"What's this, honey?" her mother inquired, taking it from her daughter's arms and scanning her eyes over it. "My!"
"Yeah! It's the form for the Chunin Exams in the Hidden Leaf Village!" the girl exclaimed.
"That's great, Hana, I can't wait to see you win!" her mother said in excitement. She laughed as her daughter threw herself on top of her, laughing and smiling cheerfully. "I'm so happy for you, Hana!"
"We leave in a few days. Yuri-Sensei said our parents can come along, too," Hanasita said excitedly. She loved her mother and her mother would always train with her and her brother, for this exact moment. But now Sumire was actually allowed to go and see her become a Chunin.
"I can't wait," Sumire said, bending down, her hands on her knees. "But the Hidden Leaf Village is my hometown. So I must warn you of what you're going to face."
"That's right, Mom... Would my dad be there?" Hanasita asked hopefully.
Sumire looked down for a moment, before smiling at her daughter. "I wouldn't know. Probably not. Anyway, let's get down to business," Sumire said, standing up. "First, it's the Uchiha clan. Although they're extinct, Sara-chan, one out of two survivors and my best friend, coulda had a child, I guess."
"Okay," Hanasita nodded.
"They have a Sharingan. It's pretty dangerous and deadly. They can use it to copy your movements and Jutsus, predict your movements, and trap you in a Genjutsu if you look into their eyes. Then there's the Nara clan; they have a Jutsu called "Shadow Paralysis Jutsu". They are able to stop anyone who the trap in their shadows from moving. Then there's Akimichi; they have the Partial Expansion Jutsu. They can expand any part of their body, so be careful when facing them. Then the Yamanaka; their speciality is the Mind Transfer Jutsu, that can take over your mind, as the name suggests. Next is the Hyuga; they have the Byakugan. You won't be able to hide from it and it can see your chakra points, so they could use Gentle Fists to attack. Um... the Uzumakis... they, uh, don't really have a Kekkei Genkai, but their pretty powerful. Um, I think that's it," Sumire explained.
Hanasita nodded like she understood what her mother had just said. "Hm-hmm. Hm-hmm!"
"You have no idea what I just said, do you?" Sumire blatantly said.
"Yeah..." Hanasita admitted defeat quickly.
In some ways, she's just like Boruto-kun. Always pretending like she knows what she's doing. She even got his trouble maker personality. Sumire thought to herself with a huge sigh, making Hanasita look up. "Go get ready for bed," Sumire said.
"Yes, Mom," Hanasita said, running up the stairs.
Sumire watched longingly at her daughter. I wonder... Boruto-kun, everyone... how are you all? Do you all have families? Are you guys still healthy?

Hanasita and Sumire, along with Hanasita's teammates and their parents and Hanasita's sensei, were all crowed on a boat, heading to the Hidden Leaf Village. Upon arriving at the dock, they headed to the train station, where they got on the Thunder Burger Train.
"I miss this," Sumire murmured as the train headed off.
"Hey, Mom, what was the Hidden Leaf Village like?" Hanasita inquired.
"Mm... You'll see eventually," Sumire said.
Hanasita pouted like a child. "Seriously? I just wanna know your birth town, the town I'm gonna compete in," she said.
Sumire ran her fingers through her daughter's purple hair. "Hana..."
"We're here!" the conductor said.
Hanasita, Sumire, her sensei, her teammates, and their parents got off and headed towards the Hokage's tower. Sumire clutched Hanasita's hand, worried to face the Hokage. Her eyes stared at the Hokage's Great Stone Face. On there, there was the first, second, third, fourth, fifth, sixth, seventh, eighth, ninth, and tenth Hokage. Last she remembered, there were eight. The tenth caught her attention, however.
"Sara-chan... So you finally achieved your dream, huh?" Sumire murmured. She was about to meet her long-time best friend.
"Mom?" Hanasita called, noticing her mother not moving. The rest stopped and turned.
"Coming," Sumire softly said. She headdd over and took her daughter's hand, heading off to the Hokage's office.
Upon reach, Hanasita's sensei, Yuri, knocked, hearing a "come in" from the other side. Yuri opened it and the kids and adults bowed politely.
"Ah! You must be the team here from the Hidden Leaf Village!" Sarada exclaimed. "I already have a house prepared for you. Here are the keys." Sarada threw the keys towards Yuri.
"Thank you, Lady Hokage," Yuri said.
As everyone headed out, Sumire stopped Yuri and told her that she wanted to talk to the Hokage, which Yuri nodded and took the kids and their parents to their temporary house.
"Hey, Sara-chan... been a—" Before Sumire could even finish, Sarada had jumped into her, hugging the life out of her.
"I missed... Everyone has..." Sarada whispered in her ear as Sumire hugged her back.
"I'm home...!"
