Chapter 4: Jumper

Adzima POV

We gathered around a hologram shaped like Earth, which was now displaying videos and images of London. 
Adzima:"So, are we going to London now? Interesting" 
Falco then transformed the hologram into a 3D map of London, and I spotted a red dot on one of the buildings. 
Falco:"The next person is a Jumper" 
Aditya:"What is a Jumper?" 
Falco:"Someone who can teleport anywhere he want. The red dot marks their current location" 
Adzima:"How are we supposed to catch a teleporter? Won't he just teleport away as soon as he see us?" 

Falco:"Under normal circumstances, yes, he would teleport away, but remember the situation" 
Falco:"He can't just teleport somewhere without checking if it's safe or not" 
Aditya:"So, this will be easy?" 
Falco:"Not really" 
Falco:"He will still run, even if it's not very far. It will be troublesome" 
Qori:"What's the plan?" 
Falco pointed to a quiet alley on the map, looking toward Aditya and Qori. 
Falco:"Aditya, I want you to take Qori here and wait for my signal" 

Aditya and Qori nodded, then Falco turned to me. 
Falco:"I'm going to chase the Jumper, and princess, you take the car and follow me" 
Adzima:"Are you serious?" 
Falco:"Yes" 
Adzima:"Alright" 
I saw Qori whispering something to Aditya after Falco assigned me the task, and Aditya just shrugged. They seemed to doubt whether I could drive Falco's car. 
Adzima:'Honestly, I doubt myself too' 
Falco then handed us what looked like a mini intercom. 
Falco:"Use this" 
We inserted the small intercom into our ears, and Falco tested it. 
Falco:'Can you hear me?' 
We all nodded. 
Falco:"Good, let's go"

When we arrived in London, we found the city in chaos, similar to other cities we had seen. We headed straight for the building marked with the red dot on the map. Moving carefully through the building, we reached a closed door. Falco handed me his car keys before opening the door. Inside, we saw someone wearing a blue hoodie with his back to us. Before we could speak, they quickly teleported away. We nodded to each other and continued our roles. 

Aditya and Qori flew through the window using the bird Aditya had drawn, heading to the location specified by Falco. Falco quickly vanished and chased the Jumper, while I rushed to the car. When I activated the car's system, the hologram on the windshield displayed a map of London with two moving red dots. One marked "Jumper" and the other "Falco." I drove the car toward their location. Although I did my best to catch up, Falco and the Jumper's speed made it very hard to close the distance.

Third Person POV

The Jumper was startled when Falco suddenly appeared behind him. He quickly began touching various objects, which then teleported and flew toward Falco. Although Falco managed to dodge the projectiles, the Jumper used that moment to escape. Falco sighed and continued his chase. Meanwhile, Aditya and Qori, after arriving at the designated location, were waiting and chatting. 
Qori:"Adzima said you’re now a king. What happened? And where's your brother? I thought you two were always together" 

When Aditya heard Qori's question, his expression turned somber. 
Aditya:"It's a long story" 
Qori:"Well, we have time" 
Aditya chuckled softly and shook his head. 
Aditya:"You haven't changed, Qori" 
Qori:"Neither have you" 
Aditya:"Oh, I've changed..." 
Noticing Aditya's gloomy expression, Qori tried to change the subject. 
Qori:"Have you talked to Adzima about 'that' accident?" 
Aditya:"You should have seen her face when she saw me" 

Aditya:"It's really hard for me even to talk normally with her, let alone discuss 'that' accident" 
Qori:"Is it that bad?" 
Aditya:"Worse" 
Before Aditya could explain further, Falco contacted them. 
Falco:'Get ready' 
They both nodded and prepared themselves. 
Aditya & Qori:'Okay' 
Meanwhile, Adzima, who had finally caught up with Falco and the Jumper in the car, saw Falco smile as he spotted her. Falco then immediately contacted Aditya and Qori.

Adzima POV

I could see that Falco and the Jumper were approaching Aditya and Qori location. After nodding to both of them, Falco suddenly pushed the Jumper off the roof. Qori quickly enlarged her hands to catch the Jumper, gently placing him on the ground. The Jumper was now entangled by the snakes drawn by Aditya. Despite that, the Jumper still tried to escape through the only exit from the alley, but I blocked him with the car, causing him to fall in surprise. 

Falco jumped down from the roof, trying to calm the Jumper. 
Falco:"Calm down, we are not your enemies" 
Jumper:"Then why are you chasing me?" 
Falco:"Because you were running" 
Jumper:"Okay, then what do you want?" 
Falco instructed Aditya to remove the snakes. Once they disappeared, the Jumper, now revealed to be Fian—Aditya's best friend and our class president—looked surprised to see us but smiled. Aditya and Qori returned the smile, while I quickly lowered my head like I did when I met Aditya. 
Fian:"So, it's you guys, how have you been?" 
Aditya:"Could be worse. How about you, buddy?" 
Fian:"Same" 
Aditya and Fian then hugged each other. 

Qori:"Hey, class president" 
Fian:"I'm not the class president anymore, Qori" 
Fian then approached me, and I was a bit surprised when he spoke. 
Fian:"Hi to you too, Adzima" 
Adzima:"... Hi, Fian..." 
Qori:"I see..." 
I quickly glanced at Qori as she said that, and she just smiled. Fian then stepped back after noticing my reaction. 
Fian:"So, what do you need from me, guys?" 
Fian:"And who is that man in black? How can he teleport like I do?" 
Fian asked, pointing to Falco. 
Adzima:"He is Falco" 
Adzima:"We are assembling a team of extraordinary people to save the world. Do you want to join us, Fian?" 

Fian:"Sure, I’d love to" 
Fian then looked at Falco again. 
Fian:"Are you a Jumper like me?" 
Falco:"No, I just use a teleportation device" 
Fian:"Where did you get that thing?" 
Falco:"I made it myself" 
Fian:"Really? Cool" 
We then got into the car, and Falco drove us back to the mansion. Fian draped his arm over Falco's shoulder in admiration. 
Fian:"You're really awesome, dude. I'm Fian, by the way" 
Falco:"You can call me Falco" 
Fian then looked around the mansion before turning his gaze back to us. 
Fian:"Where are the other members?" 
Aditya:"It's just us for now"

Falco then approached me, concerned.
Falco:"You okay, Princess?"
I was confused at first, but when I realized my expression was still grim, I tried to smile to show him I was fine.
Adzima:"I am fine"
However, that didn’t seem to convince him.
Falco:"You should rest, Princess"
Adzima:"I am fine, really"
Despite my insistence, he continued to press, this time more firmly.
Falco:"Rest! Please..."
Unable to resist his demand, I lay down on the sofa and fell asleep. Falco then requested that the others rest as well.
