A Moment Earlier

Fian POV

We were already at the mansion, anxiously waiting for Falco and Adzima. Since I was driving right behind Falco's car, my friends and I witnessed the shocking moment when Falco's car exploded and was thrown into the valley.
Anjas:"Do you think they survived that fall?"
Fian:"Falco already answered us. I don’t know if they’re 'alright,' but at least they’re alive"
At that moment, we heard the sound of a train arriving, and finally, Falco, carrying Adzima on his back, returned home. The tension eased as we saw them arrive safely.

We quickly approached and saw Adzima unconscious on Falco's back, her head bleeding, though not badly. Falco then asked for our help, gently handing Adzima over to the girls.
Falco:"Please take care of her, girls. As you can see, her head is bleeding and her leg is slightly broken from the fall"
The girls nodded and carefully carried Adzima to her room. Meanwhile, we turned our attention to Falco.
Fian:"How about you, Captain?"
Falco:"I am fine, I just need some rest"
We nodded in understanding and let Falco head to his room to rest.

Not long after Falco returned to his room, the girls came out from attending to Adzima to let us know she was alright. We sighed in relief and decided to rest. However, an hour later, Falco was back in the garage. We immediately approached him.
Dwiyan:"I thought you said you needed rest, Captain?"
Falco:"I have rested, enough"
Qori:"What? But it hasn’t even been an hour"
Falco:"As I said, enough"
Ina:"Adzima will definitely scold you if she wakes up"
Falco:"I don't mind. She's cute when she does that"
We were all surprised by his comment, but then smiled in understanding.

Falco then pressed a button on the hologram console in the garage, and the car he was driving before it fell into the valley appeared in the garage. It was in terrible condition; the body was dented, some parts destroyed, and the wheels were either missing or damaged.
Aditya:"How did you survive that?"
Falco:"If I had to say, pure luck"
Falco began repairing the car using nanobots in the garage. Although we didn’t fully understand the process, we did our best to help him. Not long after, Adzima, now awake, rushed into the garage and immediately hugged Falco from behind.

Adzima POV

We used the jet to find the next person. As we flew over a city, we saw the Soul Devourers attacking something or someone. A green light flickered, hitting the Soul Devourers. As we got closer, we saw they were fighting a man dressed in green lights and wearing a domino mask. The man was surrounded by a green light, which seemed to help him fly. The scene was chaotic, with green lights clashing against the dark forms of the Soul Devourers as they fought fiercely in the sky.

We saw that the green light could change into various shapes, which the man used to fight the Soul Devourers. This green light came from a ring on his finger. Falco tried to lock onto the Soul Devourers, but they were too close to the man.
Falco:"This is bad. If I shoot the Soul Devourers, that man will definitely get hit too"
At that moment, I heard Fian and the others calling Falco from the back.
Fian:"Can you open the back door, Captain?"
I went to the back to see what they were doing and found them standing ready near the back door.

I quickly understood their plan and prepared to join them. As Falco opened the back door, he warned us.
Falco:"Be careful, everyone"
Once the door fully opened, we all sprang into action. Those who could fly did so immediately, while the rest of us used birds drawn by Aditya or Ina’s invisible platforms to rise into the air. With our combined abilities, we quickly joined the man in green in fighting the Soul Devourers. Meanwhile, Falco provided support from the air, shooting the Soul Devourers from his jet.

After defeating all the Soul Devourers, we were careless and didn’t notice there was still one left. The remaining Soul Devourers shot down the bird I was riding, destroying it and sending me plummeting from the sky. As I fell, the others dove to catch me. Although they were fast, I was falling faster than they could catch up. Falco jumped out of the jet as well, but instead of directly rescuing me, he headed toward Aditya and Fian. They quickly grabbed him, and Falco used them as propulsion, boosting his speed to catch me.

It was a huge success as Falco managed to catch me and held me tightly before I hit the ground. We held each other close as we neared the earth. Fortunately, we landed in a deep river, saving us from serious injury. After swimming to the riverbank, we sighed in relief, grateful to be alive. I couldn’t help but chuckle a little.
Adzima:"Why do I always end up falling like this?"
Falco:"At least you didn’t fall alone"
Falco:"Well, the first one was my fault"
My chuckle turned into laughter, and I thanked him for his help.

Adzima:"I told you I didn’t mind the first one, and thank you for saving me the second time"
Falco:"You are welcome, Princess"
I sneezed, feeling the cold air as my clothes were still wet from the fall into the river. Seeing this, Falco immediately wrapped me in a hug without a word. His body was warm, and I could feel warmth returning to me. I hugged him tightly, resting my head on his chest and closing my eyes, feeling very comfortable and safe with him.
Fian:"Thank goodness you two are alright"

After hearing Fian’s voice, I opened my eyes and saw the others smiling at me. The man in green had removed his domino mask, revealing himself as Septian. Falco and I released our embrace and approached them.
Adzima:"Hi, Septian"
Septian:"Hi, Adzima. And you too, Falco"
Septian:"The others have already told me, and I’d be happy to join"
Falco and I smiled, and he extended a hand to Septian.
Falco:"Welcome to the team, Septian"
Septian:"Thank you, Captain"

A little while later, I saw Falco’s jet land nearby. As we approached the jet, Falco asked Septian.
Falco:"Before we return to the mansion, Septian, do you know what happened to Hal? He is the guardian of this sector, isn’t he?"
Septian:"I’d like to know that too. We lost contact with Hal a few months ago, and when I arrived, this planet was already in chaos"
Falco fell silent at this but continued walking toward the jet. We boarded and flew back home, the weight of the news feeling heavy on us.
