Capri Laurent

"Hello?" Capri looked down at his phone, staring staring at the screen with a frown on his face. He blinked slowly trying to process the foolishness that was presented in front of him.

"Ain't no way you called my phone just for me to be sittin' here looking at yo ceiling." On cue Harlem leaned over into the camera, picking his phone up and propping it against something.

He was shirtless, hair down, and a headset wrapped around his neck. Cap rubbed his lips together, staring until Harlem finally turned and looked back at him.

"Whatchu was doing?" He set his controller to the side, giving Capri his full attention. Cap huffed,
Glancing back to his laptop screen. He was officially swamped in assignments. At this point he was convinced all his professors were just pulling essays and online worksheets out of their own asses.

"Some school work, it's definitely kickin' my ass though. You just been playin the game all morning?" Cap hummed, watching his own fingers dance across the keyboard.

Harlem picked up his water bottle and two a few sips before he answered, "Yea, We're on break so I've been bored ass hell. I called yo ass hoping you'd be able to entertain me."

"Nigga do I look like Steve Harvey? How the fuck I'm supposed to entertain you?" Cap frowned, cutting his eyes at Harlem who only raised his eyebrows.

"I mean, we could shave ya head get you some skin bleach and work on that mustache and I think you got potential." He laughed to himself, ignoring the feelings of Capri' sharp ass eyes piercing the side of his head.

"Whatchu you got going on today? Any plans?" Cap hummed biting his bottom lip back into his mouth.

"I ain't really got nothing goin on, my ma was asking about you and lil man so I was gon ask if I could come scoop y'all." He spoke tapping feverishly against his controller, he must have been losing.

Cap glanced up at the phone and then over to his busy toddler watching Ms Rachel. He had been missing Ms Paola's cooking and looking at Harlem's face in person was just an added bonus.

"What time was you aiming for?" Cap picked up his phone looking at Harlem, in the tiny square of his reflection he could see he desperately needed to do his own hair. It's a shame he was always going around lookin' like a homeless man while Sonnet resembled some billionaire's kid.

"Whenever you want me to come get y'all," Harlem grinned slightly but didn't move front watching his game.

"Come now then, and don't be doing all that fast driving. We'd like you to get here in one whole piece." Cap stood up holding his phone while he quickly packed up a few of Sonnet's toys and his headphones.

After hanging up with Harlem he walked out into the livingroom. Like any other off day, his parents were cuddled up together watching some Tyler Perry movie with a bowl of popcorn split between the two.

"Hey baby, Whatchu up to today?" Eleni hummed, picking her head up off Malik's chest to give her oldest baby a gentle smile.

"My friend is picking fats and I up, we gon spend the day over his house." Capri leaned against the back of their L shaped couch, briefly letting his eyes flick back up to the tv.

"Who's this friend? You only ever hang out with Mei and Greg and them boys practically live here." Malik cut in, looking at Capri from the side of his eye.

"His name is Harlem, he down here for the summer then he going back to GSU." Cap yelled out from his place in the kitchen, he was fixing a few little baggies of snacks for Sonnet.
