The group had started to get on the road, although it was in a hurry they had gotten on the road. josephine was the driver for first car while her brother was driver for the second car, the three-day trip had been planned for months.
although lando was first not going to come with, ethan announced charles was coming so maude and josephine decided lando could come to. that way it wasn't as weird as it was, ethan had yet to apologize.
he was stubborn about the fact that josephine had an interest in lando, he found it frustrating as she had rejected him a lot. the car ride up to the road was pretty awkward, it was weird at how ethan had decided to join josephine in the car with lando in it.
"So josie, how was the race? I didn't ask you when i saw you last time." Charles asked her with a smile, josephine smiled back as she nodded her head. "It was good, and yes i know! Me and maude went back to the house as fast as we could." Josephine said with a shrug, there wasn't an exact reason onto why they had went back to the house.
"oh well i would've loved to talk afterwards, ton sourire m'a manqué." charles spoke as he switched up the language, i missed your smile was what he had said. josephine laughed as she looked in the mirror, she could see ethan watched the two interact with a confused expression.
"Vraiment? si j'avais su, je serais resté plus longtemps." josephine spoke, Really? if I had known, I would have stayed longer she said in french. she was happy she had learned french, it was policy in the environment that you needed to know french.
"tu parles français? tu viens de devenir dix fois plus chaud" charles said earning a laugh from josephine, you speak French? you just got ten times hotter is what he said which made her laugh. ethan and lando looked at the two in confusion as they spoke a different language.
"tu fais monter mon ego, s'il te plaît continue" josephine said with a smile, you make my ego rise, please continue is what she had said. charles laughed as he heard her speak, it was refreshing for him to finally speak with someone who could speak french.
"tu n'as pas ton copain pour faire ça?" charles asked, you don't have your boyfriend to do that? is what he had said. josephine noticed how charles was looking at lando when he mentioned a boyfriend, josephine only shook her head.
"je l'aime bien mais je ne pense pas qu'il m'aime bien" josephine said with a shrug, I like him but I don't think he likes me is what she said. charles had pulled up his eyebrow as he watched her, he shook his head as he leaned forward.
"il serait stupide de ne pas t'aimer Joséphine" charles said, he would be stupid not to love you Joséphine is what charles said. josephine smiled at him as she laughed, she just shrugged her shoulders as she snuck in a glimse of lando. She wasn't sure why she felt that way, they had kissed mutiple times yet you can never be sure with boys in this generation.
"guys stop speaking this stupid language we don't know what you're saying." ethan said with an eye roll, the two laughed slightly as they shrugged their shoulders. "i don't mind you speaking french, makes you sound so surprising." lando had whispered in her ear.
Josephine sat in the drivers seat while lando sat in the passenger seat, she blushed as she looked at the mirror where she could see charles sitting. "l'amour est dans l'air" charles said as he made signs with his hands, love is in the air is what he said which made josephine roll her eyes.
"Va te faire foutre" josephine said while laughing, fuck off is what she said which made charles laugh to. "oh my god, je ne pa parler de whatever stop speaking the language!" ethan said mocking whatever they were saying, it made charles and josephine laugh at his broken french.
