"Wait wait, charles invited you to where?" Maude's voice was heard on the phone, josephine had called her friend in desperate need of clothing help. This would be officially the race that people will know her as charles' girlfriend, it made her forget every fashion tip she knew.
Her head was completely spinning as she wasn't sure what she wanted to wear, she wasn't sure if she wanted to wear a dress or if she wanted to wear a skirt. "Just wear what feels right!" Maude said with a shrug, maude was to busy with elijah asking for her attention to really pay attention at the conversation.
"That really helps me maude.. fuck it i'll just wear a skirt with a simple top." Josephine said as she shrugged off her overthinking, she didn't want think to much about everything. "Sure do that! I love you bye!" Maude said, before josephine could reply her friend had hung up the phone.
Josephine only sighed as she quickly grabbed her clothes she had been looking at for to long, she had made her to her bathroom as she stripped herself from her clothes and had stepped int he hot water that came from the shower. The hot water hit her skin as josephine sighed loudly, she knew it wasn't the best for her skin yet she loved the way it felt.
She placed her face under the water as she sighed, her mind started to rush about everything. Josephine thought back to that day in Italy, she knew she shouldn't think about that day in the shower but it was the only way to really clear her thoughts.
She had stopped herself from gasping as goosebumps started to form on her neck as she thought back to everything that happend, it was the way lando's lips felt on Josephine's neck that made her gasp. She felt butterflies form in her stomach as she felt warm, while it could be because she was showering in warm water, the reason was because lando made her feel that way.
A knock on her door made her quickly snap out of trance she was in, she had lost track of time as she qucikly stepped out the shower and wrapped a towel around her body. She made sure the towel wouldn't fall as she quickly made her way to the door, Josephine opened the door but held her body that was covered in a towel behind the door so the person could only see her face.
"Charles, hi. Come in, i'm just going to quickly get ready and then we can leave!"Josephine said as she quickly let in her friend, Charles' eyes quickly went to the towel josephine was wearing as his cheeks spread a pink tone on them. "Sorry, i just got out the shower. But you can sit down while i get ready, if you need anything call me." Josephine said as she quickly made her way back in the bathroom.
Charles say on the couch as he started to stare off in the distance, this whole fake relationship had really taken a toll on him. He hated the way they were acting like friends in private, but like a couple in public. It made his mind spin a little as the stupid feelings for her never died down, it was why he made the deal in the first place.
A little part of him hoped Josephine would fall for him, but only then he realised Josephine was more in love with lando then she even realised. It was clear to him, he knew that it wouldn't be long until he would break. The only thing he wanted to do in that moment was go to Josephine's, grab her face and kiss her. But he couldn't, he couldn't bring himself to even go close to josephine as he was scared that he was going to say the wrong thing.
He hated that lando was not smart enough to see that a girl this intelligent and beautiful was in love with her, charles would've given everything to be in lando's place. He would've been grateful for every conversation, for every hug they would give to one another. He would've have wished he was the one that Josephine was crushing on, but that was unfortunately not the reality.
Charles sighed as he grabbed his phone from out of his pocket, he began to mindlessly scroll on Instagram until he heard foorsteps coming out the way Josephine was first in. "I'm ready, is this okay? I never know what to wear to a race, and normally maude helps me but she's with el-" Josephine kept rambling on and on about how she wasn't sure if her outfit was okay.
