Atlas hid his papers in his backpack, looking at the ground in disbelief. Why did it have to snow again? And today from all of the possible days on top of that. He sighed and put his jacket hood on, trying to get home as soon as possible. He regretted not going by car in the morning.

The streets were empty, and he wasn't even surprised. If he didn't have to go to the meeting today he would have stayed home too.

Osamu looked outside through the glass door of his shop, watching the snow fall on the ground. He turned the "open" sign around, so everyone who might possibly pass around would know he was closed. He knew there was no point in having his store open when no one was even outside, so it was better to just go home.

He went to the counter, picking up his bag from the floor so he could get his keys and clean up everything. He only had three customers in the morning before it started snowing so thankfully there wasn't much he had to do before leaving.

He was about to turn off the lights and leave, when he heard a loud knock on the front door. He looked up, narrowing his eyes to see who it was. It was hard to guess when he was completely covered in snow, but eventually, Osamu recognized his face and rushed to the door.

"I know you're closed but the snow might kill me if I stay outside for any longer," the black haired boy proclaimed, shaking the snow from his hood off. "It's fine, come in," the older boy shook his head, making some space so he could get in. He will have to clean up again later, but he didn't even mind because it meant getting the chance to talk to the boy.

"I am sorry, for interrupting," Atlas apologized, looking at the boy, his black hair falling in front of his eyes because of how wet it was from the snow. "I bet you wanted to go home already."

"It's fine," Osamu shook his head again. "Do you want your usual? It doesn't look like it's gonna stop snowing anytime soon," Osamu offered, walking towards the counter again, Atlas right behind him. "Just if it doesn't bother you, I don't really need anything."

"You're good, I'll prepare something," he glanced at the slightly taller boy, giving him a smile. "How about some onigiri and hot chocolate?" Atlas smiled, nodding to him. He took down his jacket, sitting at one of the tables as he watched the older boy do his things. The onigiri shop was one of his favorite places for a reason. Not only was Osamu's food always amazing, but so was he. He was the reason Atlas kept coming back.

Atlas smiled when Osamu came back and sat down next to him, placing the plate with onigiri and two cups of hot chocolate on the table. "So, what's up?" Osamu asked and Atlas raised an eyebrow at that. "What's up?" He chuckled. "I mean, how come you're not home?" Osamu questioned curiously.

The two of them weren't necessarily friends, but it wasn't the first time they talked together like this. Atlas was one of Osamu's regulars and always spent his afternoon here, just working on his things. Because of that, Osamu found out Atlas was a writer - a great one he must say. Their first conversation was actually about Atlas's book. Osamu complimented his writing casually as he gave him his onigiri and Atlas couldn't just ignore that and started a conversation with him immediately, asking which one of his works he read.

After that, it was easy for the two of them to talk casually, as if they were long time friends. It somehow felt comfortable when it was just the two of them. Atlas liked how it wasn't forced at all.

"Ah, I had a meeting regarding my next book," he explained, already taking a sip of his chocolate. "I'll be publishing another book in Spring," he smiled, happy everything went as planned and they agreed to publish the book. "Really? What's it about?" Osamu asked immediately, making the younger boy chuckle. Atlas's smile grew wider. "I can't really spoil you now though, can I?"

Osamu laughed, nodding. "Right, right. But a hint wouldn't be too bad, would it? And I might pay for your food and drink today," he grinned, making the other boy laugh too. "You want a hint?" He teased him, his mind only focusing on the boy next to him. Atlas thought about it for a second, smirking when he realized this was a perfect opportunity for him. "It's about a writer falling for a boy who works in a small café near his house."

Osamu's eyes widened at the familiar feeling. He blinked a few times, just staring at the younger boy. "They bond over his books, as the café boy is one of his biggest fans," Atlas added, making it impossible for Osamu to think anything else but that the book is about the two of them.

"Are you trying to hint me something?" Osamu questioned, really hoping he wasn't just assuming something he shouldn't. "I don't know what you're talking about," Atlas shrugged, a smirk on his face. "You wanted a hint for the next book so I gave you one."

"Atlas," Osamu started, Atlas' curious eyes paying attention to what he had to say immediately. "I hope you wrote it so the café boy is hopelessly in love with the writer," he mumbled carefully, this time making his eyes widen. Atlas was caught off guard. Even though he hoped there was the possibility Osamu liked him, he wasn't ready to hear it. All his confidence and teasing suddenly disappeared and he felt as if he could melt any second.

"I- What?" Atlas had to blink a few times, trying to understand the words properly. Osamu chuckled, looking outside again. "Nothing," he mumbled with a smile. "If you want I can take you home, I am by car," he offered, glancing at him again. "Just finish your food and drink and we can go." Atlas could feel his cheeks heating up and turned his face to the table, his eyes focusing only at the food in front of him.

The two boys were about to leave the shop after another fifteen minutes, both of them dressed now with all their things. Osamu locked the door behind them, slightly pointing at his car so Atlas could get to it already. He quickly caught up on him and unlocked the car door, unzipping his jacket as he sat inside. Atlas chuckled, just watching him. "Samu, I hope you'll like my next book," he suddenly mumbled, making the older boy turn to him before he started the car. He nodded, "I can't wait to read it."
