The Olympians sat in their thrones, eyeing the new occupant in the room with Chiron. Reyna had been caught by the Goddess of the Hunt. Really no surprise that it was her, just that she had been discovered in general.
"I don't seem to recall you being invited to this meeting." Artemis commented although it was more of an amused tone than an angered one.
Reyna shrugged, "I am in charge of the quest now that Percy is out of commission. Only fit that I am here to discuss what is going on."
"Quite bold of you, had you been someone else you would not be standing there still." Zeus commented with a dangerous look in his eyes. Her contributions in the last two major wars were the only thing keeping her from being blasted out of existence by the Lord of the Skies.
"Of course Lord Jupiter, I apologize if I came across as rude. I only mean to be of service." She replied quickly once she caught the look in his eyes.
The second she mentioned his Roman counterpart the god's body shimmered for a second and in his place was said god. Thankfully between the two personalities Jupiter was a tad more level headed. Less likely prone to rash violence, but it was still a high possibility.
"Very well child, speak what is on your mind then." Neptune interjected before anyone else could. He would rather the Olympians not deal with the backlash of his brother killing a war veteran.
"While Chiron is correct in that we know nothing of those foreign lands, but we must still go. How many quests have we gone on in the past with no understanding of what it is we are heading into? Every time we succeeded. We of course lost many demigods, but we always came out on top. Why should this be any different?"
"She makes quite the argument." Athena commented.
Chiron frowned, "This is different. We have always known some form of the situation that we are sending demigods into. We know how to kill monsters and even immortals in our world. With the Norse things are different. Chances are you will not make it back."
"Then so be it, we have a job to do. If we don't then we will all most likely die anyway. Let us fight for the chance to live." Reyna countered. Chiron was a great and wise teacher, but sometimes he lacked the spine to do what was necessary. Side effect of being a Greek she figured.
"Enough, all of you. The quest will begin at once. No more waiting around; this is the number one priority for the demigods." Zeus ordered.
Chiron frowned but nodded his head as his body leaned into a bit of a bow. "Yes my lord Zeus."
Reyna nodded her head in agreement before turning to leave the room. She didn't want to stick around to hear Chiron's lecture about spying and going against him. He meant well, but this wasn't the time for feelings. It was a time for actions.
The old centaur waved his hand and the image disappeared. He turned to speak with Reyna, but she had already begun to leave the building. He huffed in annoyance, but knew there was no point. That girl was one of the most stubborn he had ever met and there was no winning against her. Sighing he too made his way out of the building in search of something to help with.
Reyna angrily stomped her way over to the dining hall where the rest of her quest members sat eating and taking sometime to relax.
"We are leaving soon. Get your stuff so we can get going." She ordered.
They all looked at her in confusion. "Uh, not to point out the obvious, but why? Percy is in the infirmary and probably will be for a good bit of time. We leave without him to land where we know nothing and we may just not make it back." Annabeth asked.
