"Well, it is a pleasure to meet you Reyna. My name is Percy, happy to be acquainted with you." He stated.
She looked at him oddly, but seemed to get over whatever she was thinking about and got into her fighting stance.
"Finally" He thought to himself. The real action was about to begin. He too got into a ready position. He reached into his pocket and pulled out something small and silver.
Reyna's eyes watched him carefully, she knew he was indeed skilled. That much was known from the already five injured campers she had sent to the infirmary. He hadn't used a weapon, aside from the ones he took from the demigods, so she knew if he did have one on him then she needed to be ready.
She watched as he pulled something silver out of his pocket, but she was only able to get a small glance at it before he seemed to slide it onto his finger.
"Wait" She thought to herself.
She could now clearly see the silver ring on his hand. There was nothing special about it, just a plain, silver ring now resting on his right middle finger. For anyone not associated with the mythological world this would be seen as a strange thing for someone to pull a piece of jewelry out for a fight, but most in the world of gods and monsters knew that many things were magical weapons just hidden in disguise.
As if he read her mind he grinned before applying pressure to the ring with his index and ring finger. His hand glowed white for a brief second. When the light vanished Percy held a beautifully forged war axe. The handle was made of a black metal that none of them had ever seen before and was approximately three feet in length. It was also wrapped in leather to help with gripped the weapon. The blade itself was fairly large for a typical war axe. It extended out roughly six inches from the handle and was the same silver color as the ring that it once was. The only difference between the ring and blade as far as style was concerned was that it had the same pattern as Damascus steel. There was an engraving along the blade that read Regn. The word wasn't Greek or Roman because she couldn't read it. It was a simple, yet elegantly crafted blade.
"Who are you?" She asked. Reyna didn't care before, but now she was curious.
"You want to know? Beat me." Percy said before starting the battle. He had waited for his previous opponents to start the attack, but now he was making the first move.
Reyna barely hag time to bring her sword up as Percy brought his axe down with such force that she could feel the air pressure compressing down on her. It was as if the literal air itself suddenly became heavy. Fortunately for her she had plenty of experience dealing with super powered deities and this guy didn't seem quite on their level. Yet, he also didn't seem quite far from it either.
She brought her blade up just in time to intercept the blow deadly blow and began to use her strength to push back against him. It seemed as if she was able to push back against him, but then she noticed he was only wielding the weapon with one hand. His other hand was balled into a fist right before he took a swing at her. She was stuck in place and did the best she could to brace for impact as his hand connected with her chest plate. The force knocked her on her back. Percy wasted no time in pressing his attack and lunged toward Reyna. The daughter of Bellona rolled to her left side; the axe slicing into the ground a mere second after she moved.
Before he could pull the blade out she rolled back and swung her sword at him. He was forced to let go of the axe and jump back to avoid being sliced.
He grinned, "Impressive."
Her eyes narrowed, was he just toying around with her?" The thought pissed her off and she used that to fuel her next few attacks. She kept swinging her sword at him, each strike performed with near perfect technique and narrowly missing him by mere centimeters. The more she missed, the angrier she became.
