"Duck!" Annabeth yelled just in time for Thalia to hear. The daughter of Zeus instantly dropped to her knees to avoid being decapitated by an empousa. Things had quickly gone south the second they left camp.

They were constantly running into large groups of monsters left and right. The only reprieve they had was when they made it onto the plane for their flight to Norway. Surprisingly they hadn't encountered any Norse monsters. They were all Greek or Roman ones which made them somewhat comfortable.

Unfortunately their break from fighting was short lived the second they had traversed into the mountains of Norway. They were being led by an odd feeling. It was as if something was pulling them in that direction. They immediately assumed it was some sort of trap, but they had no other information to go off of so they went with it anyway. The second they got close they were ambushed by an army of monsters ready to tear them apart.

A bolt of lightning dropped from the sky and blasted a few hellhounds apart as they made their way to attack Reyna who had just put her gladius through the heart of a cyclops. Jason turned his attention back to the pair of laestrygonians rising off the ground after he had used the winds to launch them back.

"This surely went to hell in a hand basket!" He yelled over the sounds of battle.

Just as he had ducked beneath one of the clubs another caught him in the chest and sent him flying to the feet of his companions who had huddled back to back to protect him. At least a few dozen monsters surrounded them and it seemed more and more kept coming.

"I don't suppose you have any ideas there Annabeth?" Reyna asked as she kept her eyes on the monsters closing in.

The daughter of Athena frowned, "Not really no. This isn't some kind of complicated puzzle. We are simply out numbered and outgunned here."

That did nothing to raise the morale of the group. "Well, at least we get to die fighting." Thalia said as her spear cackled with electricity. Her eyes sparked and her lips turned to a smirk.

She lived for the thrill of battle.

"As much as I hate to admit it, maybe having that Norse guy around wouldn't be so bad." Jason muttered just as a hellhound lunged at him only for it to be pierced in the side by his sister's spear while he slit the throat of an empousa.

No one said anything in response as they were suddenly rushed by the large group of monsters and forced to fight on the enemies terms.

Both children of the skies would call down lightning, but the blasts only provided moments of relief before they were pressed again. Reyna covered the two from behind with her skills with a blade as Annabeth ran around taking out larger monsters with her baseball cap on so she was undetectable.

No matter how long they fought or how many monsters they killed it seemed as if the battle would never end for them as monsters continuously charged toward them. Their deaths seemed a sure thing.

The fight was slowly coming to an end, the demigods losing energy as they slaughtered monster after monster. Jason jabbed his gladius through the chest of a telkhine before turning and kicking the side of the knee of a charging cyclops who had its eye set on Annabeth. Said daughter of Athena was currently dealing with two hellhounds slowly approaching her; taking every chance to lunge in an attempt to consume the demigod.

Thalia and Reyna themselves were too busy to help their friends as a lastrygonian had decided to start hurling boulders at them. Thalia was using her power over lightning to blast the boulders out of the air, but she was quickly being drained. Reyna was doing her best to defend her, but was also starting to be more fatigued and overwhelmed.
