"Well, where is this demigod you boasted of?" Ares grumbled. He had been quite excited to see a Norse demigod in person. The two mythological worlds rarely collided, but when they did battle was inevitable. The Olympians were once again seated in their thrones within the throne room.
"He told me he would think about it. I didn't promise I'd bring him here, couldn't have even if I wanted to." Apollo said.
"Cmon kid, I need you right now. The whole world does in fact." Apollo thought to himself.
"I told you this was a waste of time. We are lucky this stunt of yours didn't annoy the Norse and cause a potential war between us." Athena added.
The sun god rolled his eyes, she could never not be wrong.
Suddenly thunder boomed so loudly over head that all heads turned towards Zeus. Said god was not paying them any attention. Instead he was focused on the hooded figure in the middle of the throne room.
"I believe we will find the answer to our question by speaking with our guest here." Zeus stated, his gaze never leaving the new addition in the room.
A small chuckle could be heard from underneath the hood of the man in the dark blue cloak. "Precisely why I am here Zeus. It's been a while, eons in fact since we last spoke." The man commented.
Zeus's face remained stoic, but his posture said otherwise. His grip on the edge of his throne was so tight small cracks appeared along the edges of it. His knuckles turned as white as snow.
"Yes, it has Odin." Zeus said with some malice in his voice.
The history between the two was legendary. Zeus always boasted of his power among the mythological worlds, but everyone knew the Norse were truly the top dogs. They just didn't go headfirst into war at every given chance. Peace was a more preferred option for them, but when called for they could and would create the bloodiest battles known in history. Their warriors were not only fierce, but savage killers as well.
The bottom half of Odin's face was all that could be seen, and what they saw was a wicked grin.
He pulled back the hood of his cloak to reveal the face of an older man, roughly in his sixties or seventies. His right eye was missing; in its place was a small black hole. If one looked into it long enough they would be almost hypnotized by it and could see images of war. His left eye was a bright pale blue. It gave off the feeling of a icy winter.
He stood at around six foot and held a staff in his right hand. "I suggest we all remain calm if we are to work together in understanding this rising evil." Odin offered.
Zeus was still fuming, but knew the older god was right. Now was not the time for grudges to be brought up.
"I believe your son, Apollo, has asked my grandson to come and aide you." Odin stated.
Apollo nodded his head, but before he could speak his brother beat him to it.
"Yeah but the little punk chickened out and decided not to show." Ares mumbled under his breath, but everyone still heard him.
Odin turned his attention to the God of War. "Is that so?"
Ares suddenly looked as if he wanted to shrink in his chair.
Odin smirked again, "If you had any patience you would know that my grandson is here and ready to accept the offer; if his conditions are met that is."
Zeus's eyes narrowed, "Conditions?"
"Why of course, the last time you met him you tried to kill him. So, for accepting his aid in the coming war you are to agree to his terms. Otherwise we will plan our own course of action without you which will leave you to the mercy of this evil." Odin said as he made eye contact with the youngest son of Kronos.
