my favorite emotion

"out of all the emotions, love is my favorite as well as my least favorite. when love goes wrong, it feels like youre dying. when love goes right, it feels like youre actually living. something thats never made sense though, is we're told constantly that we're "too young" to know what love is. from the moment of conception, of birth, we're taught what unconditional love is. its not nearly as strong as the love you can feel for your 'soulmate', but you know it when you feel it. its indescribable. all you can do is think of them, dream of them, speak of them. you see them as your favorite movie/book character, you hear them in your favorite song lyrics. the crazy thing about love is, it happens so slowly but so suddenly. its literally like falling asleep, you drift off and all of a sudden youre hit with a ton of bricks. everything they do drives you wild, your heart beats in crazy ways. when you see them all you can do is smile and when theyre close you feel your heart pounding and feel your muscles tensing. you palms get sweaty and your breathing gets heavy. you constantly find yourself missing them, their smell, their arms. theyre what makes you strong, but theyre your biggest weakness. the thought of ever losing them punctures holes in your fragile, inlove heart. maybe thats why theyre constantly on your mind even when they arent with you. youre constantly wanting the reassurance that theyre yours and only yours, maybe thats why you get so jealous sometimes. but jealous or not, the love that comes from it is worth it. love has no time limit, you can fall in love and feel everything in two weeks, or be with someone for two years and not feel a single ounce of love. when youre falling for someone, dont fall for looks or actions, not even words. fall for their souls. when falling in love, dont just fall for their flowers, fall for their roots. because if you dont, you wont know what to do when autumn rolls around."
