THE FRESH MORNING AND SUN SHINED OUT THROUGH THE WINDOW OF RACHEL'S DARK ROOM.
She needed that sleep and that's all it took for her. To keep all the career a bit away from her. It was exhausting.
Until the door slammed open.
"Girl, get up!" The window was lifted open, feeling the fresh air of Philly.
But Rachel still didn't make a move.
Honey sighed and moved to pull off the blanket making Rachel open her eyes. "Now awake? Come on. We have a long day ahead."
Rachel groaned and leaned up with sleepy eyes. "What time is it?"
Honey moved up her wrist to her eye level to check her watch. "10 a.m. You slept through."
Rachel took the time to yawn and get up to get herself ready to spend a day with her best friend.
Finally.
It was a rough time since she was recording her album. And there was never a day off to do something on her own.
"You actually know about that Michael guy having moved here, like a week ago?" Rachel nodded and sighed.
"There's a whole hood baby!" Jessica busted in the room making the girls stare at her unexpected appearance.
The other best friend that was way too active for things. She was barely in sight only some of the time if she wanted to.
"What's up?" Honey asked her while Jessica sat down the bed.
"Michael, right, and his whole side chicks? Literally, not what I expected. Michael's kinda the complete different guy. Best if you stay away."
"Why?" Rachel asked with slight knitted brows.
Jessica scoffed. "Girl, go out and you'll see him hanging around with that guy Dre and their other friends. He's a part of that gang. You know? The Jax gang."
"Okay, and how are you supposed to get all these sudden details?" Rachel questioned.
"Believe me, I've known Dre. He told me many things about Michael. He is calm on the outside, but if you wanna know what's on the inside? Go ask Dre. But there's one thing I will warn you about," She leaned over. "as long as he's hanging around with Dre, we both know in this room, that it is possible for him to never recover from being bad."
Rachel was left staring at her with a complete confused expression on her face. "Why are we even talking about this?"
Jessica scoffed a sarcastic smile and turned around to sit on her bed. "I'm just saying! In case if you decide to get to know him for real? Mark my words."
"Okay Jess, listen." Honey chuckled at her behavior. "Dre is also known for the biggest troublemaker and liar. He spills bull around people to make one look bad. Michael is the complete opposite from them, so I guess he's doing sum on Mike. My thoughts but I won't push them. I still don't like him."
"Jess, I have never been in contact with him. Not even spoke a word to each other. That's all."
"Right, you are not wrong there. I was just saying, you know? Maybe I also need to calm down instead of talking some crap out on you for seeing something." Jessica sighed and shrugged.
Honey chuckled with her arms crossed. "Michael is known for doing bad things to girls as well. Remember Jasmine?" Jessica scoffed as she thought of it.
"He done treated her like shit." She said.
Rachel was curious if who they were talking about but decided to let it slide as she went back to her phone.
That was going to be a long day.

Living in a different place in Philly was the complete opposite than from the beautiful side of it.
The one Rachel and everyone else were living in, was the south where people get to see them gangs and police always pulling up. Some of the time to say exact.
But Rachel felt safe.
"Hey girls!" Their friendly neighbor, Jack, waved over as Honey and Rachel passed by him in the streets.
"Hey Jack. How ya doin'?" Honey replied with a smile as they kept on walking.
Every single one nearby would be sitting by the steps of their home or on the streets, riding on their bikes or hanging around. That's how the side of their street was.
"I really like going out with you but I just feel like staying home at the moment. Been gotten in a wreck and I don't know what to do outside anymore. What are we even doing anyway?" Rachel questioned Honey that just smiled at her moodily girl.
"Chill out, it's just a hangout we're doin'. It's meant like a break, you know?" Honey explained.
Rachel just sighed with a face that said it all. But Honey insisted and was always on the opposite when it came to Rachel disagreeing on things.
Just as they were walking down the streets, past the neighbors, Rachel felt Honey tugging on her shirt slightly. "Rachel."
The dark haired turned her head to see where Honey was looking at just to see Dre and his buddies.
With Michael.
They were sitting there by the steps and the other standing by the railing of it, a cigarette in his hand as they were all staring at the two with looks that made them uncomfortable as ever.
But Michael's stare was something else. It was more deepened and dark. Something he had natural about himself. But whenever he would do that, it looked dangerous. Which Rachel noticed as they passed by them until she decided to break her eye contact with those dark ones that kept her in a different world and quickly shook out of it.
As the two were past them by a couple inches, Honey began. "Hell was he staring at." Honey scoffed.
Rachel was also confused as she decided to ignore it. But her thoughts didn't leave on that one.
Seemed like there was something different.
