Ch 16

Soon it's Monday and the boys are extremely excited for their lessons. Finishing up at work I'm so focused and lost in thought about what almost happened last week at the food court that I don't even notice Chan enter until he taps me on the shoulder making me jump a little. I turn to him pouting a little. "You scared me." His expression softens a little. "Sorry. But are you ready to go? I got the booster seats secured and everything." I give a little nod grabbing my things and follow him out to the car getting in. Once I'm buckled up we start heading to the daycare I looking out the window quietly still thinking about last week and how I almost kissed Chan. Shaking my head I snap out of it when I see we're at the daycare I getting out with Chan we heading inside where the boys immediately rush over in excitement. "We're ready to go now." I chuckle a little before we head back out to the car we helping the boys into their seats then drive off to the art and dance studio. When we arrive we take Jared to his art class first he giving us hugs and kisses before running off then head over to the dance studio where Jason rushes off without even giving us hugs he too excited. Smiling a little softly I lead Chan back out to the car we getting in and I look at him curiously. "What now?" He hums before turning to me. "How about we hang out just the two of us?" I pause before giving a little smile. "I'd like that." He grins and tell me to buckle up I doing so then he drives off I curious about where he's bringing me. Soon though we stop at the park and I look curious as he gets out of the car and heads to the trunk I getting out and follow him. Suddenly he grabs a soccer ball from the trunk and grins at me. "Wanna play a little?" I chuckle a little softly and nod. "Sure." His grin widens then he closes the trunk and leads me to the soccer field. We then start playing around for awhile we laughing and having fun. Just as I try to get the ball from Chan I stumble and yelp as I fall only to immediately land in Chan's arms my hands going to his firm chest for support. Looking up at him our eyes meet and I swallow a little feeling that tension between us come back. He seems to start leaning in I feeling my heart speed up and butterflies fill my stomach. Just as our lips are inches apart there's suddenly loud yells I immediately jumping away from him and grab the soccer ball seeing a bunch of kids heading for the court in uniform. "We better get going." Chan's quiet as we head to the car we putting the ball away then get in to go to get the boys. Once we pick the boys up they're excitedly blabbing about their day and how much fun they had I giving them a little smile but still feel that tension between Chan and I he not really saying anything. Once we reach the house the boys wish him goodbye as I lead them into the house and fix dinner before heading to bed.

(Chan's Pov)

Once Fenton and the boys leave the car I sigh and head back to the dorm I parking and silently take the booster seats out before heading inside. The members immediately question me about the boys I telling them that they're fine before heading to mine and Changbin's room. I lay on my bed staring up at the ceiling when the door opens I soon hearing Changbin's voice. "You alright?" I stay quiet for a minute before I sit up and run a hand through my hair groaning. "No. Fenton and I almost kissed. Twice. But each time we were interrupted and he would jerk away from me like he's been burned." Changbin gives me a sympathetic look. "Well maybe you can both go out one night just the two of you while we watch the boys and talk things through." I think about it for a moment before giving a little nod. "That's actually a good idea. I'll talk to him about it in the morning." Changbin nods giving me a good luck before leaving the room I quickly changing into some comfortable clothes before laying down and slowly fall asleep.
