Ch 7

(Fenton's Pov)

The next morning I wake up earlier than usual and check my phone only to be surprised when I see a message from Chan asking if I want to have breakfast this morning. Biting my lip I know that I'd have to take the boys with me because their daycare doesn't open until later. Making a split second decision I reluctantly agree because of the guilt I have. Sighing I see from his message that he tells me to meet him at a restaurant I getting up and head to the boys room where I gently wake them up they both rubbing their eyes sleepily I smiling softly. "Morning my little kangaroo and wolf pup. We need to hurry and get dressed because we're meeting one of daddy's friends for breakfast." They both look at me curiously. "Who is it daddy?" I hesitate before just saying simply. "He's daddy's old best friend. Now let's get ready." Jared immediately hops out of bed full of energy and starts bouncing around hence why I call him my little kangaroo. That and he resembles Chan the most. Jason climbs out of bed a lot quieter than his energetic brother he mostly keeping to himself. I help the boys pick out some clothes and help them get dressed before heading to my room pulling on a black t shirt and jeans then start leading the boys out of the house and to the restaurant Chan said to meet him at. Holding onto my boys hands I lead them to the restaurant where I see a masked and capped man standing off to the side I heading over getting his attention. "Hey Chan." He looks at me and his gaze immediately turns curious when he sees the boys. "Hey Fenton." I shift a little when Jared gently tugs on my hand I looking down at him as he pouts up at me. "Daddy I'm hungry." I immediately give him a reassuring smile. "We'll go get food now I promise." He grins and starts bouncing around in excitement while I feel Jason hide behind my leg looking up at Chan shyly. I look back at Chan and say simply. "We should probably head inside." He slowly nods and leads me inside where the waitress takes us to a private back room. I help the boys up into their chairs before taking a seat in front of Chan who has taken his mask off. The waitress then asks for our drinks I ordering me a coke and Jared pineapple juice while Jason gets apple juice and Chan asks for pineapple juice too. Once the waitress leaves Chan looks at me curiously. "I didn't know you had kids. How old are they?" I hesitate a little before saying simply. "They're five." He stares at me for a moment I quickly looking over at my boys when Jared gets my attention. "Daddy when we're done can we go to the park before daycare?" I smile a little and nod. "Sure we can go to the park but only for a few minutes." The boys both smile happily saying in unison. "Okay!" I smile softly then the waitress comes back giving us our drinks then takes our food orders after giving the boys coloring sheets to keep them busy. Once the boys are distracted I look back at Chan only to shift when he's already staring at me. "You left almost six years ago and the boys are five." I bite my lip feeling my stomach knot up from anxiety but shrug. "Yeah what about it?" He raises an eyebrow at me. "Your parents kept saying you were unwell the few weeks I tried getting ahold of you." Silently hoping he's not going where I think he's going with this he asks me in a quiet but firm voice. "Fenton they're mine aren't they?" I stay quiet not wanting to really confirm or deny it he giving me a stern look. "You didn't even try and get ahold of me? I could have been there. Do they even know about me?" I flinch slightly at his tone but mumble softly. "They know of you. I've told them that their appa works really hard to make people happy in the world." He stares at me before saying seriously. "I want to be apart of their lives." I go to protest a little but pause at his stern look my stomach twisting because he admittedly looks hot. "I deserve to get to know my sons. Especially since I missed out on five years of their lives." I immediately sigh and lower my head knowing he's right before giving a little nod. "We'll tell them when we finish eating." He nods in approval and the waitress comes back handing us our food I immediately helping the boys get their plates settled before we all dig in. Once we're finished I go to get out my wallet when Chan just hands over his card I immediately going to protest but he just shakes his head reassuringly. "I got it. Now let's head to the park." The boys cheer and I gently help the boys before setting them on the ground I taking their hands and we head outside to the park Chan just putting his cap on. Once we reach the park I stop the boys getting their attention. "Boys remember when I told you that your appa is really special and that he works to make people happy?" They both nod looking curious I taking a deep breath. "Well um this is your appa. He makes music and performs." They both stare at me before looking over at Chan who gives them a little smile. Suddenly Jared's tackling Chan's legs in a hug before smiling up at him cutely. "Hi appa. Im Jared and that's Jason." Chan's expression softens a little. "It's nice to meet you both." Jason suddenly speaks up sounding a little shy. "Will you play with us?" Chan smiles down at the boy and nods. "Of course. What do you want to play?" The boys both give each other a look before smiling happily. "Pirates!" I can't help the smile that crosses my face as they tell Chan how to play they making Chan the captain only to be surprised when they point at me. "Daddy can be his first mate!" Soon the boys are running around we trying our best to keep up with them as they tell us what to do. As Chan and I are standing near the little pirate ship that has slides and everything the boys run all over the place. Shaking my head I look over at Chan who's smiling when I check the time. "Alright boys we need to get going." They both whine Jared bouncing around eagerly. "But daddy we wanna play more." I gently grab ahold of him and pull him into my arms tickling him. "You can play more at daycare my little kangaroo." He giggles and squirms before reaching out for Chan. "Appa help! Save me from the tickle monster!" Chan chuckles and gently takes Jared from me cradling him in his arms. "There now the tickle monster can't get you." Jason reaches out for Chan to pouting. "Appa I want hugs too." Chan smiles softly and carefully takes Jason into his arms as well cuddling both boys. I can't help but watch silently feeling a little guilty that I let Chan miss out on this for five years. Clearing my throat I get all three of their attention. "Alright it's time for little kangaroos and wolf pups to go to daycare while daddy and appa go to work." The boys pout a little but give a little "okay daddy." I reach out for the boys but Chan gives me a reassuring smile. "I got them lead the way." I frown but nod and we start heading for the little daycare where Chan sets the boys down. I kneel down beside the boys straightening out their clothes then I tap my cheeks. "Okay give daddy kisses and then head inside." They both kiss my cheeks before looking up at Chan expectantly. "Appa gets kisses too!" He blinks then smiles and kneels down the boys kissing his cheeks too before they run off. Chan and I both straighten up he looking at me curiously. "Why do you call the kids kangaroo and wolf pup?" I can't help but smile. "Well Jared reminds me of you the most and you're a kangaroo. And Jason's more like me who's more like a wolf." He nods in understanding as we head to Jyp entertainment. "So what are you doing today?" He looks over at me before saying simply. "We have practice what about you?" I shrug. "I think I have Day6 today." He nods and we head inside to the elevator. Once it reaches Chan's floor he gives me a little smile. "See you later Fenton." I give a little nod as he leaves before heading up to my floor to head inside to the styling room where I wait to start working.
