(Fenton's Pov)

The next day I get ready for work and let the boys stay home with Harry for the day since they missed seeing him. Once I'm ready I wish them all goodbye before heading to the company where I immediately go to the styling room I assuring Miyeon that everything is fine and that I'm okay to work. She nods and tells me that we're getting Day6 again I nodding and go to get my station ready. Once they arrive I'm surprised when YoungK asks for me he sitting in my chair before looking concerned. "Is your son alright?" I nod giving a little reassuring smile. "Yeah he's fine. He fell off the jungle gym and broke his arm but he's doing fine now." He nods before looking curious. "Any reason why you had me take you to Chris first thing?" I pause a little he immediately saying reassuringly. "You don't have to tell me if you aren't comfortable." I take a breath before deciding to be honest. "Because that's also Chan's son." He gives me a look of confusion and I murmur quietly. "I uh was born female. I have a girl body but don't identify as a girl. And in our last year of high school Chan and I had a situation where I became pregnant but he didn't know until recently. I figured since our son got hurt he should be there as well." Understanding crosses his face and he nods. "So Chris has a son." I unconsciously smile. "Two actually. I had twins." He gives a surprised look before a little smile crosses his face. "So are you two together?" I immediately feel myself blush. "No. We're just co-parenting." He gives me a knowing look. "But you have feelings for him right?" I freeze before changing the subject. "Alright sit back so I can do your makeup and everything." He nods thankfully dropping it and I concentrate on doing his makeup. Once I'm done he thanks me and I focus on cleaning up my station and equipment occasionally doing touch ups until it's time for my lunch break. I suddenly hear little whispers and girls giggling I turning my head only to see Chan in the doorway he looking at me and smiles I giving a little smile back and head over to him. "Ready to go?" I nod and we head to the elevator he putting on his cap and mask before we leave the building he leading me to a nearby restaurant where we're immediately given a private room in back. I take a seat across from Chan he pulling off his cap and mask. "So did you have a problem with the boys going to daycare today?" I immediately shake my head saying mindlessly while looking through the menu. "No they stayed home with Harry for the day since they missed him." It's quiet for a moment before I hear Chan ask cautiously. "Who exactly is this Harry?" I peek up at him before looking back at the menu. "Well when I moved back to America I was freaking out about the pregnancy and everything and Harry was just there. He helped me through a lot and was there for me and the boys." It's quiet before he seems to change the subject. "Who's this ms Debbie? Jason mentioned her yesterday and how she told him boys aren't supposed to dance." I immediately scowl feeling anger fill me. "She was a nanny I hired to look after them while I was at work and it turns out that while I was at work she was abusing them. She would slap them in the mouth to keep them quiet and apparently Jason was her favorite to torment because he's softer and more sensitive. Stupidly I would see bruises on them but she just told me they were clumsy or ran into things. The boys finally told me what was happening after she slapped Jason into a wall and he was in the hospital with a concussion." Chan stares at me in horror and a look of anger crosses his face. "Please tell me she got arrested." I nod reassuringly. "Of course. But after that I figured we needed a change so I moved us here and applied for different makeup and styling positions then got accepted into Jyp." Soon a waitress comes to ask for our drink order we telling her then look at Chan curiously. "So what did you want to discuss with me that you talked to the boys about? Because you said it wasn't bad." He immediately smiles. "Jason told me he wants to be in ballet and he seems really excited about the idea of it. And I was thinking we could get Jared some art lessons." I can't help but blink in surprise. "I knew Jared had an art obsession but I didn't know Jason wanted to dance that bad." My expression turns a little sad I internally beating myself up. "I'm such a bad dad I mean I knew he liked to watch dancing but had no clue he wanted to participate so badly." Suddenly my hand is taken and Chan gives it a reassuring squeeze. "Your are not a bad dad. From what I noticed Jason doesn't speak up much. He's like you he's shy and keeps to himself. That doesn't make you a bad parent or anything." I give him a little appreciative smile. "Thanks Chan." He smiles then slowly lets my hand go. "So tell me about you. What did you do while you were in America?" I blink a little before shrugging. "Well I finished my final year of school at my aunts house being homeschooled with my younger cousin. Then I got a job at a local beauty shop where I made quite a bit of friends until I quit when I was twenty. After that I took some private hair stylist jobs for runway models but that wasn't getting me anywhere because I hardly got jobs that way. So then I moved here." He looks at me curiously. "Why'd you quit the beauty shop if you had so many friends there?" I hesitate a little shifting in my seat Chan looking at me worriedly. "Fenton? What happened? I know that look and it usually only crosses your face when something bad happens." I sigh running a hand through my hair before mumbling something quietly. "Fenton please tell me." I grumble but say a little reluctantly. "The owner of the shop was transphobic and sexually assaulted me." His eyes widen a little before a very angry look crosses his face. "Did you report him?" I shake my head no. "He was really rich and had the top lawyers while I was just a single dad and it was my word against his. I just quit and left the shop." He frowns at me still looking angry. "That's not right. He should have paid for doing that to you." I can't help but smile a little. "Your still the same Chan. All protective and ready to fight for people at the drop of a hat." He gives me a look. "Yeah well I don't appreciate people I care about being hurt or taken advantage of." Feeling a little surprised when I hear him say that I'm thankful when the waitress comes with our drinks and asks for our food order. We give her our orders and I quickly change the subject when she leaves. "So how are we going to find a dance class for Jason? Kira's girlfriend Malia I know already runs an art class for kids." Chan just smiles reassuringly at me. "I'm sure we can find him a good teacher." I nod trusting him then say softly. "The boys are wanting to go to the beach one day and I was wondering if you wanted to maybe come." He looks at me curiously. "You're okay with going? You used to absolutely hate it." I nod smiling. "I mean I'll keep my shirt on but I don't have to worry about the binder of death anymore." His eyes widen in surprise before he smiles. "So you finally got the surgery?" I nod smiling. "Yep. About a year after the boys were born." He grins at me. "I'm happy for you. I know how much you wanted it done." I give him a grateful look. "You know I want to thank you for being there for me back then. You were always so supportive even though I was different and considered weird by others." He shrugs. "You were my best friend and I didn't care that you were considered different. I still don't care that you're considered different because you're an amazing person." I feel myself blush a little my heartbeat speeding up at the look he's giving me I thankful when the waitress brings our food we focusing on eating. Once we're finished I let out a little sigh. "I better head back to work and I'm sure you have to get back to practice." He nods in agreement before saying hopefully. "Maybe we can meet each other for lunch every day?" I pause for a second before giving a shy smile. "Sure I'd like that." He grins and we get up I going to pull out some money when Chan just hands over his card I immediately protesting. "I could have pitched in." He gives me a reassuring smile and a wink making my stomach fill with butterflies. "I got it covered." I grumble but reluctantly agree we heading back to the company when Chan gets his receipt we parting ways when we get to his floor.
