A few months later...
Sophie's POV
Dating Fitz was amazing. He's always showering me with small gifts and although we got weird stares by every in the hall, it didn't matter at all.
Although I would notice Stina Heks walking up to Fitz every once in a while (every day) always being flirty with him. I never appreciate it but Fitz wouldn't play her games and would always try to put a space between her.
I reached my locker, coughing. I wasn't feeling the best this morning but I had still begged my parents to let me go.
I saw Linh walk up to me along with Tam and Dex.
"Hey Sophie!" Linh greeted leaning against the other lockers.
"Hey guys," I say, covering my mouth to cough.
"Are you okay? You don't sound to good," Dex answered.
"I'm fine."
"Are you sure? Cause your voice is different and you seem to be coughing a lot." He said.
"Thanks for your concern but I'm fine." Then the bell rang.
"I'll see you guys later." And then we split off to first period.
(Time skip to lunch cause why not)
I sat down with everyone, Fitz on my right and Biana on my left. Everyone had noticed I was couching a lot and that my voice had changed a bit, sounding a bit stuffy.
Everyone by now had already started eating while my plate of food had been untouched.
"Is everything all right?" Fitz asked. I nodded.
"Yeah why?"
"Cause it seems like you don't have much an appetite and you aren't feeling your best today. Do you want me to walk you to the nurses office?" I shook my head again.
"If you need me to, tell me." He insisted, grabbing my hand. I smile and nodded, resting my head on his shoulder, or at least close enough to his shoulder.
By the middle of lunch while I hadn't had breakfast or lunch today my stomach wasn't feeling good. I ran out the cafeteria and to the nearest bathroom. I hadn't looked behind, but I was pretty sure all eyes were on me.
I went into the stall, puking in the toilet. Once I had finished, I flushed the toilet and cleaned up after myself. And although the water isn't the cleanest, I rinsed my mouth. I then saw Biana and Linh enter the bathroom.
"Sophie! What happened, are you alright?" Biana asked.
"As fine as I can be at the moment. I don't think going to school was the best choice," Linh hugged and soon pulled back. She brought something out of her pocket and it was a packet of gum. She offered me one and I gratefully took. She offered it to Biana and took one herself.
"Are you going to the nurse?" Linh asked. I nodded.
"Yeah, after making a fool of myself in the cafeteria, it'd be better to go there."
"You didn't make a fool of yourself." Biana denied.
"Yes I did. If you ran out of the cafeteria holding your mouth so wouldn't puke everywhere in front of a bunch of high schoolers wouldn't you be embarrassed?" Biana looked at the ground in silence.
"Anyways, I should probably go now." I say, leaving the bathroom to find Fitz leaning against the wall, waiting.
"Sophie, how are you doing? Are you going to the nurse?" I nodded.
