"... We finally did it..." The star stared at his trembling hands. Finally, every last one of them, allies or enemies, had fallen.
He had won.
Was it worth it though? He had lost everything along the way... There was nothing left
His friends had died in that glorious battle. They died heroes. At least, that's what he wanted to say. The star knew better though.
But it didn't matter anymore. Not to him. The star couldn't care less about those who had fallen at the moment. For once in this long, grueling, life, he was safe.
Beside him, and eye blinked. Then another. They were coming to Watch Their victor.
The star knew he had to fall, just like the sun before him. He didn't want to, but he knew what was coming. He sighed, his tail flicking behind him.
The eyes around him stared as he limped towards the cliff edge, exhausted from his endeavor.
"There... There's only one way." He rasped, raising his sword to the sky as the eyes continued to Watch, amused.
His trial was finally over, and he could rest, just this once.
No fire.
No screaming.
No friends dying around him.
The star sighed in relief as a flash of light came down from above, striking his sword and taking his last life from him.
∷⚍リᔑ∴ᔑ|| fell out of the world
The eyes closed.
