Sam woke up in a (for him) overly bright room. He sat up and looked around. He was wearing a white gown and right beside him layed his Master. He couldn't believe his eyes. One minute they were at the doorsteps of death itself and now he was in this awfully beautiful room. Was it a dream? No, no it definetly happened. But that would mean that they... No. Frodo wouldn't do that. Or would he?
He was interupted from his thoughts by two familiar voices outside the room. He didn't want to wake up Frodo so he decided to go to them himself.
As he was clutching the doorknob someone called out for him in a weak voice.
,,Sam? Is it you?"
He turned around and see the one and only Frodo. No. His Frodo.
,,Mr. Frodo! You're alive! You're okay!" he ran back to the beds and hugged and sobbed into Frodo's shoulder.
,,Where are we Sam?"
,,I don't know, but it looks majestic here." Sam answered truthfully, looking around the room.
,,You are in the healing home of Minas Thirid!" two unusually tall hobbits barged in, very typical way for them to come in ,,and we are ever so glad that you two are alive!"
,,PIPPIN! MERRY! OH HOW AM I GREATFUL I CAN SEE YOU ONCE AGAIN" Frodo quickly sat up jumping off the bed to hug his cousins, but having to stop because his limbs were a bit weak after laying for so long with Sam having to catch him before he could fall to the ground. ,,And you've grown a LOT. I've never seen a hobbit so tall," Sam added with a smile helping Frodo stand up, also very happy to see his friends alive and healthy.
- after meeting all the other members of the fellowship and being very surprised but happy to know that Gandalf's alive, walking through the white city while Pippin showed them around, admiring every bit. When all the meetings, ceremonies (including Aragorn's coronation with Frodo and Sam being the ones that brought the crown to Gandalf as for Aragorn's request) and other important things, it was time to go home. On their way back they visited the Rivendell and Prancing pony in the Bree and all the other places they've been, they finally arrived home.-
Even though they were finally after this whole time in the Shire, Sam felt uneasy. He had to ask Frodo about the moment on the Mount Doom. He just didn't know how. And he didn't want to make things..different for them. But one night after Sam finally took care of the Bag End's garden (even though Frodo told him to not bother) the blond came inside to make some tea for his Master.
But as he was making it it started raining outside so heavily, he started to wonder how he can make his way home without being totally soaked.
When he made the tea he sat at the table across Frodo, who was looking through the window at the pouring rain.
,,You can't go home in this weather Sam. Surely you'll get soaked or even sick. Why don't you stay here?" Frodo looked him directly in the eyes practicly begging him to stay but on the other hand like a mom, who won't let her kid get wet and ill in the rain. ,,We could have a little sleepover, it'll be fun" he added with a smirk on his face.
Sam practically mesmerized by Frodo's awfully beautiful sky-blue eyes, lost in his thoughts (he could swear Frodo sometimes reads thoughts with that look). He didn't want to bother but deep down he wanted to stay so bad he knew he would curse himself if he refused. And also..he could finally have a terrifying (atleast for him) but a needed chat with Frodo.
,,You there?" Frodo chuckled as he waved his hand in front of Sam.
,,Yes, yes sorry about that.. weell if you don't mind me staying.."
,,Of course not! It would be my pleasure" Frodo said with a smile.
,,Well then..let me clean up the table and we can do something after, anything you'd like, Mr. Frodo"
,,First, you know you can stop with the formalities, and second I've been meaning to talk to you about something so I'll tell you when you're done. And thanks for the help!" He stood up walking into his room to clean it up a bit.
,,Been meaning to talk to you about..about what? What could he be meaning to talk to me about. Maybe the same thing? What if... No. He couldn't have possibly mean it and he's come to apologize" Sam thought out loud but not too loud for Frodo to hear. And even though Sam deep down hated the idea that that action was only Frodo's mistake, he couldn't come over this feeling in the pit of his stomach. And the thought that maybe..and only maybe Frodo meant that. But that would be impossible, right. Right?
