It's the next morning, Elizabeth, Carolyn, David, and Roger are eating breakfast at one end of the long table with sunlight streaming through the curtains. At the other end, Barnabas pretends to eat in the shade of the drawn drapes. Only Elizabeth is eating while the others looks at him weirdly.

"I was awakened by a yellow dragon with iron teeth. Confronted by a giant letter "M" with the luminescence of a thousand lanterns."

Carolyn looks at her mother, "He's not staying with us forever, is he?"

"I like him." David says.

"Yes, well, I'm sure things are very different in England." Elizabeth covers since Barnabas is talking oddly and doesn't want them to start thinking.

Barnabas looks down at his plate of a single waffle and slowly taps the fork multiple times, making sure it's safe for him. "So, Barnabas, what sort of business are you in back home?" Roger asked.

"The Collins family has always been in the fishing business. But after two centuries of consideration, I have decided to devote the entirety of my energies to family."

"He means it seemed like two centuries" Elizabeth cover again.

Dr. Hoffman walks into the room with a pair of sunglasses on and a drink in her hand. She sits down and looks at Barnabas. "Who the hell is this?"

"Dr. Hoffman, this is our distant relative, Barnabas Collins. The Third. Barnabas Collins III is going to stay with us from England. Barnabas. Dr. Julia Hoffman." Elizabeth introduced while Barnabas stands up and bow to the doctor.

"My God...a women doctor. What an age this is!"

Dr. Hoffman looks at Elizabeth, "Is he for real?"

"I think he's just tired from his long trip." Elizabeth whispers and everyone resumes eating. Not long later Victoria walks in and takes her seat next to Hoffman.

Victoria looks at Barnabas and gives him a small smile. "Hello. And who you might be?"

"Vicky, this is Barnabas Collins and he going to be staying with us. Barnabas this is Victoria or Vicky for short, and she is David's governess." Elizabeth says while Victoria and Barnabas nods at each other.

"I see you have grown desperate enough to sell off the prized family silverware." Barnabas states.

"How could you tell? These are exact replicas." Roger says kinda ticked off that someone caught this. "Has this fork been real silver, my hand would have burst into flames upon its slightest touch." Barnabas picks up the fork inspecting it before sitting it down.

Everyone looks at him weirdly while Elizabeth comes up with a story. "Yes, you mentioned you had a terrible metal allergy." Everyone looks between the two before Elizabeth changes the topic. "Anyway, he fishing business is all but gone. The manor is nearly in ruins."

"Well, I have returned. And in short order, so shall our fortunes."

Roger gives a short laugh, "Good luck. Angie has deals with most of the boats in Maine."

"Angie?" Barnabas questions. "Angelbay. They've taken just about every port on the East Coast." Elizabeth answers.

"Then that is where my work begins. And with your blessing I shall restore the family business to its former glory."

Footsteps can be heard as Y/n walks in, still putting on her earrings. Barnabas rises and whispers "Y/n."

"That's Y/n/n. She's Carolyn and mines governess, well used to be my governess. She believes in ghosts like me and Vicky." David says. Y/n walks towards Barnabas to shake his hands. "Hi."
