Wolf Curse

Chapter 12

The guild members looked on in awe as the she-wolf was now awake and back by the fire dragon slayer's side, but she still didn't lose her reputation of keeping them away from Natsu, all except Mira who had gained her trust through a secret that only she knew, the fire mage was now sleeping with his head on the table as Erza with a few others were out looking for the celestial mage.

Okami's head jerked up toward the guild doors just as Loke burst through them.

Panting and wheezing out of breath he spoke, "Lucy is...huff...over towards the South... at Fangs-.", just before he could finish Erza kicked the door open stopping Loke causing him to disappear in a golden sparkly light. Everyone face planted as the she-wolf could only shake her head turning her attention back to Natsu who woke up to the commotion.

Erza looked at everyone in confusion before seeing the last of Loke's face disappear. "LOKE WAIT!!!" was all she could say before he completely vanished. Erza's face could only show shock as the others looked at her, but quickly regaining her composure she glared at everyone until her gaze landed on Natsu who was looking away, anger began to boil up inside her at his careless attitude as if they were no longer nakama. Marching over Okami stood abruptly, bristling and she gave a menacing warning growl.

"What do you think your doing?" Erza growled out through clenched teeth, Okami glared back raising the volume and intensity of her growl til she was snarling, "I'm doing what I am suppose to do, protecting Natsu." Erza glared at her, re-quiping a sword she swung only for fangs to break the sword in half, Okami glared at Erza as the rest of the guild tensed up to back up the scarlet haired mage in case she needed help. "Stop this now. Before something that you do because of your lack of sleep and other things that includes judgement clouding your actions causes you to lose something." Okami spoke as she slowly moved back to Natsus' side. Erza swung a fist to punch the wolf but instead Okami grabbed her by her arm, "Why are you even here? Are you a spy for the ones who have taken Lucy? Is Natsu just your tool? Answer me!!" Erza yelled as rage consumed her and blinded her judgement. Okami let go of her arm as she was thrown back.

A emotion that they could'nt comprehend filled the she-wolf's face stopped Erza midswing, Natsu looked at her as concern was evident in his face. "So...you think I am with them..." she laughed bitterly before looking at Erza, as her eyes flickered from blue to black with a crimson, reptillian slit. "If I was then I would have killed you all...but you see...I have not...in fact...SCARLET...I was a prisoner...I was an experiment for that sick,twisted man." Okami then ran out of the guild onto the streets of Mongolia.

Natsu looked at Erza with one emotion, that emotion was disapointment. He was ready to burn her till she apologised to Okami, "Great. You just lost your only guide to finding Lucy. Why did you do that Erza?" was all Natsu said as he walked out of the guild to find Okami.

Erza only looked in the spot the wolf was once standing at, as her words slowly sunk in. "She..."Erza could only mutter at the sudden outburst of the she-wolf who only showed one emotion when she was around anyone, she seemed to only have that one emotion but a few moments ago they were suprised to see something other that her anger. Gray went and put a hand on her shoulder as the scarlet haired mage broke down in the guild as she tried not to remember her time as a slave in the tower of heaven.

~ With Okami and Natsu later that day~

It took Natsu awhile to find the wolf but he eventually found her, she was in the woods slashing up trees and sending her magic condensed bombs and destroyed the trees. Natsu cleared his throat to catch her attention, and her attention he caught was what he did, "Do you want to spar with instead of destroying those poor trees and possibly ruining my home or do you want to continue?" Natsu asked as Okami gave a sigh before lunging at him.
