Okami and Natsu were laying in the middle of what once was a forest. All around them was burned trees and craters within the ground from their attacks.
Exhaustion was evident between the both of them. "So...are you okay?" Natsu asked quietly, the she wolf just huffed but gave no clear answer. Frowning, Natsu rolled over and looked at Okami, worry consumed him, he clenched his fists as he felt anger. "Don't let what Erza said get to you, she doesn't understand and I doubt she ever will." Okami glanced at him, sighing she then sat up. " I'm not bothered at all, humans are rash when they become desperate, and I know that all those...emotions... just got the best of her. So I won't let such petty words get to me." Natsu kept looking at her, unconvinced, but he let it slide, 'She'll tell me when she is ready...' The two laid there, basking in the Sun, letting it's warm rays of sunlight warm them up. Not long afterwards they both stood up, and slowly walked back to Mongolia.
Just as they had arrived back within the town limits, Team Natsu was running towards them, Natsu tensed up and quickly glanced at Okami, she just stood there, no emotions whatsoever showing. Uneasy, Natsu looked back at the others that were walking towards them. "Natsu! Okami! We need your help!!" Okami just growled lowly, Natsu nodded his head at the others in front of him, waiting for them to continue. "Okami..." Erza spoke quietly. " I'm sorry for what I said earlier...I have no right to apologize to you for what I said...but please understand my honesty..." Erza and the others watched silently, waiting for any reaction from the wolf. Okami rolled her eyes and gave a small nod. "I understand, Scarlet but this means nothing to me, I am just going to help you find that blonde lady." Everyone's face lit up in excitement, but Natsu frowned at her words, trying to find the hidden meaning behind them.
Okami looked at the group and glared at them waiting for them to quiet down. "The blonde is at the hideout of Cyrus' place. It is located in the mountains to the South, at Fangs Peak. There you have to follow a certain path that will lead you safely and around the traps." Erza nodded and then asked, "Can you lead us through the place?" Okami nodded, hiding all the emotions that were attacking her psyche. Natsu then stepped forward, "No. Okami can't go back there. It is too dangerous for her. Does Master know about this?!?" Erza and the others looked at him in shock, before anger took place. " What do you mean!?!? Natsu, this is Lucy we are talking about!?!? Do you not care about what happens to her!?!?" Okami stood up and growled in annoyance, "I don't need you guys to decide what is or isn't good for me! I am capable of handling myself! While you humans are up against a force stronger than anything! So this will be a rescue mission and we will need to be careful. Cyrus is planning something and I don't want to be what causes it's completion." The air around them all was tense, but all nodded their heads in agreement.
"Now, we must go tell the Guild Master. And then we will head out tomorrow in the morning." With that Okami and Natsu walked off. Erza and the others looked at them as they walked away before turning and walking in the opposite direction. Unknown to them all, a shadow in the trees downwind from them quickly disappeared.
