Ep 62: Complications

INT. TARHUN HOUSE - EMIR AND REYHAN'S BEDROOM - NIGHT

Emir enters the room, and Reyhan gestures for him to sit down. She takes out a first aid box and begins to carefully bandage the minor injury on Emir's head. Emir watches her with adoration in his eyes.

REYHAN: (smiling) What are you looking at?

Emir grins mischievously.

EMIR: (teasing) My answer remains the same, I'm looking at the soon-to-be mommy.

Reyhan blushes and smiles, appreciating his affectionate gaze.

REYHAN: (playfully) Well, soon-to-be papa, you need to take care of your health first. Don't be too self-sacrificing for the soon-to-be mommy and baby.

They share a loving smile, their hearts filled with anticipation for the new chapter in their lives. The room is filled with warmth and happiness, a reflection of the love they share.

CUT TO

INT. DOCTOR'S OFFICE - DAY

Emir and Reyhan are seated in the doctor's office, both looking hopeful yet nervous. The doctor analyzes Reyhan's reports, clearly surprised by what she finds.

DOCTOR: (perplexed) How is this possible? The chances were only 30%.

She then examines an X-ray and her expression turns serious.

DOCTOR: (concerned) No... This can't be happening.

Emir and Reyhan exchange worried glances, holding onto each other's hands tightly.

DOCTOR: (worried) Mrs. Tarhun, your placenta can't carry the weight of the child; it's extremely weak. It's truly miraculous that you've conceived, but I must be honest with you – this pregnancy is highly complicated.

Emir and Reyhan exchange worried glances, their joy quickly turning into concern..

DOCTOR: (continuing) The health of the child is at risk, and I'm afraid, Mrs. Tarhun, that after this pregnancy, you will never be able to conceive again.

Reyhan's eyes well up with tears as the weight of the doctor's words sinks in. Emir takes her hand, offering her comfort and support during this difficult moment.

Emir, deeply concerned about Reyhan's well-being, turns to the doctor with a determined look on his face.

EMIR: (firmly) Doctor, if there's any risk to Reyhan's health or the baby's, we don't need to proceed with this pregnancy. Reyhan's life is my priority, and I won't compromise that.

The doctor, understanding the gravity of the situation, nods in agreement.

DOCTOR: (compassionately) Mr. Emir, you're absolutely right. Given Reyhan's low hemoglobin levels and the complications, it's a wise decision to consider her health first.

Reyhan, conflicted and emotional, listens to their conversation. She knows the risks involved, but the desire to have a child is pulling her in a different direction.

REYHAN: (teary-eyed) No, Emir, I can't do this.

Reyhan leaves the doctor's clinic, her heart heavy with the difficult choice she must make. Emir watches her go, torn between his concern for her health and his understanding of her longing for a child.

INT. TARHUN RESIDENCE - EMIR'S ROOM - EVENING

Emir and Reyhan are sitting in their room, the weight of their recent doctor's visit still heavy on their hearts. Emir tries to reason with Reyhan, his voice filled with concern.

EMIR: (softly) Reyhan, I know how much you wanted this child, and I did too, but the doctor's words... they were clear. It's not safe for you or the baby. We should consider the risks.

Reyhan looks at Emir with teary eyes but remains resolute.

REYHAN: (firmly) Emir, I appreciate your concern, but I can't make this decision. I can't give up on this child.

Emir's frustration and fear for Reyhan's health start to show. He clenches his fists but restrains himself from saying anything hurtful.

EMIR: (silently angry) Reyhan...

Reyhan can see Emir's inner turmoil, but she can't back down.

REYHAN: (defiantly) I understand the risks, Emir, but I need to see this through. For us, for our future.

Emir, unable to convince Reyhan, abruptly stands up and leaves the room, his emotions too overwhelming to bear. Reyhan watches him go, tears streaming down her face, torn between her longing for a child and her husband's concern.
