"Some people are cynical, yet they know how to make their intentions sound lyrical,
but in the end, they leave you with scares that are unmistakable"." ― Mireya Rios,--------------------------------------------------------
A Few Weeks Later:
The tension between Izuku and Katsuki had not lessened in the weeks that followed the disastrous party. If anything, it had intensified, creating an awkward and hostile atmosphere at home. xOne evening, as the three sat down for dinner, the strained silence was shattered by a passive-aggressive comment from Katsuki.
"You know, Deku, you might want to consider a cooking class or something. This tastes worse than that time you tried to impress All Might with your 'heroic' spaghetti," Katsuki remarked, his eyes narrowing in a challenging glare.
Izuku sighed, rolling his eyes. "Kacchan, if you're so eager to criticize, maybe you should take over the cooking duties. Let's see how well you do."
Katsuki scoffed, pushing his plate away. "I'd rather starve than eat your repugnant meals, Deku."
Haru, sensing the rising tension, chimed in with an innocent smile. "Can we order pizza next time? I like pizza!"
Izuku shot Haru a grateful smile, appreciating the childlike simplicity that momentarily diffused the tension.
Haru, with a twinkle of mischief in his eyes, turned to Katsuki and blurted out, "Papa, why do you always yell so much? It's scary!"
The question hung in the air, creating a momentary pause. Katsuki, caught off guard, exchanged a glance with Izuku. Before either of them could respond, Haru continued, oblivious to the tension he had just created.
"Daddy, you're much calmer. Maybe you should teach Papa how to be calm too!" Haru chirped, his honesty cutting through the room like a double-edged sword.
Izuku bit his lip, trying to suppress his laughter, while Katsuki's expression flickered between annoyance and amusement. Sensing the need to defuse the situation, Izuku jumped in, "Well, Haru, everyone has their own way of expressing themselves. Papa is just passionate, that's all."
Haru frowned, clearly not satisfied with the answer. "But his too loud. It scares Mr. Fluffington!" he declared, referring to his favorite stuffed toy that was nearby.
Katsuki raised an eyebrow, a hint of a smirk playing on his lips. "Mr. Fluffington needs to toughen up then. You like heroes right well heroes aren't scared of some noise!"
Haru, undeterred, responded with an innocent yet cutting remark, "But Daddy says heroes should be gentle too, not just loud. Maybe you should try that, Papa!"
The room fell into a brief, awkward silence. Katsuki, torn between irritation and amusement, finally chuckled, "Fine, fine. I'll try to be less... explosive. Happy now, kiddo?"
Haru beamed, seemingly satisfied with the outcome. The dinner continued with a mix of laughter and playful banter. When dinner was over Katsuki and Izuku decided to play a superhero game with Haru.
The trio embraced their newfound superhero personas with gusto. Haru, now known as "Captain Laughter," insisted that his power was spreading joy and turning any frowns upside down. Deku, donning a makeshift cape, became "Deku," utilizing his incredible One For All quirk, creating green lightning, and moving at superhuman speed. Katsuki, ever the fiery personality, adopted the moniker "Dynamight," boasting explosive powers that could defeat any villain.
In the imaginative world they created within the living room, the boundaries between reality and make-believe blurred. Pillows became shields, blankets transformed into capes, and the furniture became the backdrop for epic battles against imaginary foes.
As they engaged in their superhero antics, the tension that had lingered between Deku and Dynamight seemed to dissipate, replaced by the shared joy of playing together as a family. Laughter echoed through the room, drowning out the echoes of past disagreements.
Captain Laughter, Deku, and Dynamight fought against imaginary villains with fervor and enthusiasm. The living room became their superhero headquarters, and each piece of furniture served a purpose in their imaginative battles.
Deku, with lightning crackling around him, moved with lightning speed, creating an electrifying display of power. Dynamight unleashed explosive bursts, adding a fiery spectacle to their superhero team.
As they continued their superhero adventure late into the evening, with each passing moment fostering a renewed sense of camaraderie, they found themselves collapsed in a heap of laughter and pillows. Deku, Dynamight, and Captain Laughter lay side by side, catching their breath and sharing smiles that spoke of unspoken understanding.
"You know, Katsuki, for someone who claims to be the 'Great Explosion Murder God Dynamight,' you're surprisingly bad at protecting civilians," Izuku quipped, his tone dripping with sarcasm.
Katsuki shot him a scowl. "Oh, like you're the master of keeping things tidy up, Deku. at least I didn't fall in the processing of running."
Haru, trying to lighten the mood, interjected with an innocent question. "Who's stronger, Daddy or Papa?"
Izuku and Katsuki exchanged glances, momentarily thrown off by Haru's unexpected question.
Izuku, with a small smile, replied, "Well, your Papa is strong and all, but I all so have the brains. So I guess it's a tough competition."
Haru giggled, seemingly satisfied with the answer. "I want to be strong and smart too!"
Izuku smiled at Haru's enthusiastic responds "but you're already smart, baby."
"Really?!" Haru asked while jumping up and down
"You sure are kiddo" Katsuki added
Haru, with his eyes shining bright, looked at his superhero dads. "Being superheroes is so much fun! Can we do it again tomorrow?"
Deku ruffled Captain Laughter's aka Haru's hair affectionately. "Absolutely, Captain Laughter. We can save the world again tomorrow."
Dynamight, a rare softness in his gaze, added, "Yeah, yeah. Dynamight is ready for action anytime."
The makeshift superhero costumes were discarded, and they settled into a cozy pile of blankets, the remnants of their impromptu game surrounding them. In the quiet aftermath, Izuku took a moment to speak.
"Dynamight, maybe we need more moments like these. Moments where we can just have fun and be a family without the weight of the past."
Dynamight nodded, a genuine smile playing on his lips. "Yeah, maybe we do. I'm not promising anything, but I'm willing to give it a shot."
Captain Laughter, sensing the shift in the air, beamed at both of them. "I love our superhero team! Even if we argue sometimes, we're still the best!"
As they settled in for the night, the echoes of their laughter and the remnants of Deku's lightning display lingered in the air, serving as a reminder that healing and rebuilding could be found in the simplest of joys. The makeshift superhero adventure had become a turning point—a step towards a new chapter in the lives of Deku, Dynamight, and Captain Laughter.
