The night following Y/n's small shoot out in the forest, Slenderman had ordered all four proxies to search the woods all night and all day. Of course they did take rotational shifts and breaks, however they all spent most of their time searching every square inch of the forest.

Y/n was now walking back from her dinner break, it was dark by now as she searched for her fellow coworkers. She was dreading it slightly, it was awkward all day between her and Masky. Even Toby questioned the thick tension that seemed to lay over the four of them.

She would dismiss it, soon changing the subject. Toby wasn't stupid, he did get irritated when she would brush it off but put up with it for the sake of his friendship with her. He had worked so hard on getting her to open up to him ever since she had begun working with them. He did not any of it to go down the drain.

Whilst walking back to their little post hidden snugly within the treetops, she took the time to analyse the snow around her. There were prevalent foot prints in the snow, but they were obviously from the chunky boots that all of the proxies wore. None of the imprints matched the slender and scattered footprints of their target.

Hoisting herself in the trees, Toby reached out to help her. "Be careful with your leg!" he hissed before ruffling her hair slightly. She rolled her eyes playfully before swatting his hand away. "Whatever Toby, its your turn to eat now. I'll be fine." she said before flicking his forehead.

Toby grumbled before reluctantly leaving. "If something bad happens while I'm away, I'll execute all of you!" he declared before Masky waved him away. He was very annoyed with the fact he had all of Y/n's attention for the whole day. The whole damn day.

At this point, he had given up on repressing his feelings, both positive and negative. He felt the jealousy running hot through his body. He only wanted one moment to talk with the girl, just one. There was no way he would just pretend like the other morning never happened.

But what if he did? Maybe then she would truly hate him, and solve all his issues. Realisation, was a tricky thing. The one thing he truly knew was that he no longer wanted her to hate him, he wanted her, and all of her.

He continued to ponder on his new found realisation before Hoodie snapped him out of it. "Tim, are you even listening?" He asked while crossing his arms. "If we're being honest Brian? No, no I was not." he replied nonchalantly.

Sighing Hoodie continued to explain once over more. The three of them would be splitting up, Hoodie would radio in the new plans to Toby. If anyone found anything then they would radio they rest of the proxies to come in and help.

"It seems that whoever or whatever this is, they like to strike when there's not a big group of people. Especially when Y/n is alone." Hoodie explained before they began go climb down their tree. They tested their walkie-talkies before all dissolving into different directions, or so they thought.

Masky waited a moment or two before following behind Y/n. Reaching out he grabbed her arm, causing her to panic. She gasped, turning she held her gun to the jaw of the person behind her, only to be met with the cold mask of the one person she didn't want to talk to right now.

"Can I talk to you?" he whispered not letting go of her arm while swatting her handgun away. "What–No! Didn't you listen to Hoodie at all?" she said agitated. "I already answered that, not really." "You're ridiculous!" she said as she yanked her arm away.

"You've been seriously messing with my head lately you know!" she began to raise her voice. "I mess with people for a living darling." he responded in a sultry voice. "Cut the fucking shit Tim." she said before walking away. He shuddered at his name.

"I just want to talk about what happened yesterday morning–" he said, trying to catch up to her pace. Her face grew warmer against the cold air upon remembering the previous events. "There's nothing to talk about, okay? Forget it happened." "But I don't want to forget it." He responded.

Crunch!

The two glanced at each other, still walking at the same pace as to not give away the fact they both had heard the sound of ice breaking behind them. They didn't want to scare away their culprit. Still holding her gun from earlier she swiftly turned and shot at the person, who again appeared white as a ghost.

Masky turned to her in disbelief as they both realised the stalker had gotten away again. "Why the hell would you do that?!" he yelled before inspecting the patches of red snow. "It's not like we could've planned it out! Whoever we're dealing with definitely isn't some normal civilian though. I shot them at least three times just now and once yesterday!" she argued back before radioing in Hoodie and Toby.

"We'll be there in a moment Y/n" Toby radioed back.

"Jack, I need you to patch me up buddy." "Again?! That's the second time this week! You know I have other shit to do right?" the medic responded irritated as he turned in his swivel chair.

"Why the hell do you keep getting shot?!" he began to grow annoyed before instructing the boy to remove his sweater. "Cops I guess are crazy man." "Well then stay the fuck away from them!" Jack began to lecture as he washed his hands and put on sterile gloves. Soon he began to set up his tray of instruments, including items to sew his patient up.

"I can't, they're so fun to toy with–FUCK!" "Stop fucking squirming or I won't be able to pull some of these bullets out." He lectured once more before pulling out the first bullet with his forceps. "You're such a pain in the ass Jeff." "Thank you." he grinned widely before hissing from the pain.

The eyeless boy chucked the handful of bullets into his disposal drawer before stopping in front of the window. He stood for a moment, listening carefully to what he thought might've been just an animal circling the territory.

"Jack what're you–" "Shut the hell up for a minute." he quickly hushed Jeff before listening and waiting for an audio queue. For once, Jeff's smile seemed to falter slightly as he saw two equally unsettling eyes peering at him through the window. "Jack...dude...there's something out there." Jeff whispered as he 'squinted' the best he could to see what was out in the bushes.

Crunch!
