"You're such a prude just one kiss–" Masky huffed in amusement, trailing behind Y/n like he used to. "Shut the hell up and come over here...AND STOP STEPPING ON MY SHOES!" she scolded while yanking him by the sleeve.

"Just as hot-headed as before." he snickered as he glanced down at the papers they were both given. "As much as I'd love to kiss you and make out in the forest right now and have banging sex, we have a job to do." she rolled her eyes while flipping through the documents.

"I have a feeling you don't actually mean that." Masky chuckled. She scoffed in response before they trotted down the hill and into town. "So where we headed off to hot stuff?" he asked while stuffing his hands in his pockets. She lightly smacked his shoulder in response to the nickname before pointing towards the directions given to them by the boss.

"This is the place?"

"I think so?"

"It's just a 7/11..."

"Boss's orders, not mine. We're looking for a woman named Tatiana Holmes, she's into that true crime crap and has been digging around the woods too much." she spoke nonchalantly. "You wanna take care of this 'quickly' like you did last time we did a mission like this?" she teased as the stood in the alleyway awaiting their target to clock out of their shift.

"I don't appreciate this new found sass." he rolled his eyes before gripping his crowbar tighter as he heard the automatic doors chime. "You love it." she teased before glancing around the corner quietly.

She pulled the woman into the alleyway, hand over her mouth. Beads of sweat began to shine in the dim lighting from the lamppost across the street. "Yes, I dearly love the attitude you give me every single day making it harder and harder for me." he replied while swinging his crowbar at the writhing woman they had dragged into the alley.

Red splashed on their clothing the more he swung, speckling the walls and trashcans near by. "I know you feign sarcasm but I know you love it." she smiled slyly as she dropped the woman's now limp body. "Come on stuff her in the dumpster with me, we have gloves on they won't see our fingerprints." she said while nodding to the big dumpster that sat neatly between the two buildings.

"Anything for you dear." he spoke while picking up the body. The two left that alley dirty and speckled in blood. Quickly making it to the border of the forest while avoiding public cameras they strolled through eventually making it to a familiar path.

"You know, I think I've liked you since we've met." Masky suddenly said after about five minutes of comfortable silence. Y/n glanced over at him in confusion, "You sure? You were such an ass when it was my first day." she teased.

The tips of his ears began to turn red. Turning away slightly, he took off his mask to then turn back to look at her beautiful face. "I...I'be never really been good at having feelings let alone expressing them." he admitted while breaking eye contact.

The shorter girl snickered at his answer, out of amusement and shock. "So you put me through fucking hell just because you had a little crush?" "I wanted you to hate me so I could get over it..." he admitted quietly.

Y/n shook her head while smiling, "And did it ever work?" she asked while stopping in her tracks. Masky, almost tripping on a tree branch stopped as well. He stared back at her face, looking at the emotion it held. His lips pursed as his eyes continued to glaze over her facial features.

"No...It didn't." he finally said, earning a chuckled from her. Continuing their walk back, Y/n stared at the sky fondly, it was a full moon. Two stars shone near by, twinkling with life. Masky's hand found hers as she continued to admire the sky.

"The moon looks beautiful doesn't it?" she sighed while smiling at the sky.

"Always." he responded, never breaking his gaze from her face.

"I love you."
"I love you too."
