Chapter 39

(Shadow's pov)

Right in front of us were two almost identical foxes that looked a lot like Nine and Tails.I looked at Sonic who looked very shocked and back at the two.I had the flashlight on their stomachs and moved them up to there faces.

"Turn that the fuck off!!!"The bright yellow one said.I turned it off and walked over to them looking at them with a stern but questioning face.

"What do you want bi-""DT!!!"The bright yellow one interrupted, nudging him in the rib."OW!"DT said, walking away from them and sitting down at the edge of the building.

"So, who are you guys?"Sonic said blankly, and the foxes shrugged."I'm DN, and that's DT,"DN said, putting his hands in his pockets.DT walked over and showed DN some sort of device.DN studied it and nodded slightly,grabbing the device out of his hands.

"What's that?"I asked.DT grabbed the device from DN and tossed it to me.I looked at it and saw a chart on it that was labeled ink gems.I looked up and nodded,
handing it back.

"What is it?"Sonic asked.I opened my mouth to speak, but before I could say anything, DN interrupted.

"Mind your business,"he said sternly, and Sonic frowned slightly.

"Sorry, he doesn't usually act like this, He just...hates Sonic's..."He mumbled the last few words.Sonic looked at him, confused, and walked over to them.

"What do you mean 'hates Sonic's?'Are there other me's?"He asked, and DT scoffed.

"Of course he asks that!It's because he's a Sonic!"DT exclaimed.DN rolled his eyes and walked over to us on his rusted metal tails that both me and Sonic had just noticed.

"Are you guys different versions of Nine and Tails?"I asked gruffly.DN nodded along with DT.Sonic smiled a little, and ran to them, hugging them.

"I have so many little buddies!"He shouted, and DT and DN squirmed in his grasp.After a few minutes, they broke free and walked away a little bit.

"Don't put your fucking hands on me!"DT shouted from where he was now sitting.DN nodded as well.Sitting next to him.

"Sorry..."Sonic mumbled, scratching the back of his neck.DT scoffed, and DN sat up, pointing to something behind us.

"What?"Sonic looking.behind us.I look as well and was surprised when there was a very ink portal there.I groaned, thinking it was going to suck us up, but it didn't.

We all stared at it until two shadowed figures walked out of it.I looked closer and saw that it was...
