I arrived back to my hotel room, Duck was there to great me with open paws as he usually would. I quickly gave him the love and attention he deserves.

I couldn't stop thinking about my interaction with Leah, I know it probably didn't mean much but it's hard to forget about it when it's literally on your mind 24/7. I know I need to keep things professional but Leah Williamson is well.......Leah Williamson. I've looked up to her for a while now. From what Stanway says, she's a good human being and a class act.

I'm here to do a job, that's it, or is it?

It's no denying that Leah is that captain of the squad, the skipper,  the one that's leading the team through the Euros. I cant help that there's more then meets the eye.

I climb into bed to get a good nights sleep but my legs are restless and I just cant get tired. Duck isn't even taking up the bed but I cant seem to find a comfortable spot. My mind just cant shut off and I find myself getting out of bed and throwing some clothes on. I figured a nice walk around the facility will do the trick.

I walk outside and feel the cool air hit my face, I sit down on a bench that's right on the pitch and right near the hotel. I immediately thing about my life. I think about how I ended up here. I think about my life choices. I'm not crying but I feel this overwhelming feeling of emotion suddenly crash over me.

I want to be back home, I want to be by my family, I want my dog, I want to be in the comfort of my tiny home.

As soon as I feel myself drifting off into negative thoughts, I hear a slight cough in the distance. I look to my left and see an average hight blonde girl that's slowly walking towards me. I don't say anything but instead I keep my head down. I didn't want anyone to know I was struggling so I wiped away my tears and took a big sigh.

"Hey it's Emily right?" Leah asked.

"You would be correct, and I would assume your name is Leah right?"  Obviously I knew who she was but I guess I was a little confused as to what she was doing out here so late at night.

"The one and only, can I ask what you're doing out here late at night and all alone?" She asked.

"I couldn't sleep, figured some fresh air would do me some good. I guess I could ask you the same question." I replied.

"Whenever the stress gets to be too much I step outside in the cool air and just let my mind wonder." The captain answered.

"I have a wonderful companion that just so happens to be a great listener. If you want, you could come back to my room and I could introduce the two of you."

I don't know what came over me to ask this but I felt like Leah needed a bit of a distraction.
