the true villain and his real intentions

the next morning:

Shadow and Sonic woke up in the morning with the experience from last night still fresh in their memory as they both happily took a bath together with Sonic thinking deeply till Shadow got his attention.

Shadow: what have you so spaced out when I was talking to you 

Sonic: Oh, sorry.....Shadow, I was thinking about something about the future

Shadow: hmm....and what would you be thinking about that for?

Sonic: well, remember when I said that I might settle down after I do everything I want to do in life......well how about I kill two birds and one stone with that

Shadow: what are you trying to tell me?

Sonic: I mean if you agree of course......would you like to make both of us official and stay together as. you know, as partner's?

Shadow didn't understand why Sonic would say a thing like that to him when the teen knows what it would mean to be together with a king and wanted to confirm it

Shadow: you do realize that if you and me are together, then that would mean you would have to be a king yourself.....and if I recall, that is something you didn't want in life

Sonic: I know, I know, but I guess this prince couldn't help but fall for the king from another realm

Shadow: then you would be throwing your freedom away for the sake of a king

Sonic: yeah I know but I'm sure it will be worth it

Sonic said as he smiled proudly at Shadow who couldn't help but be happy about what Sonic was saying and hugged the teen from behind

Shadow: then I better make it worth every second of what your sacrificing for me

Sonic: it will be, and the best part is that we won't need a treaty between two kingdoms when we can just be together and make it as one instead

Shadow: I'm sure your father would be happy with the news, what do you think his reaction will be when we give him the message

Sonic: actually, we should tell him face to face that his son will no longer run away from his own duties as a future king

Shadow: as long as I'm there with you then we can do that

the two was ecstatic with the agreement they just made and wanted to have the news spread as soon as possible. they finished bathing and got dressed, coming out of Shadow's room together and then walk down to Shadow's office for the king to tell Silver the news and have a message send to Sonic family to say he will come home with big news....but their smiles soon turned into mixed emotions when they saw none other than Jules sitting on Shadows chair waiting for him to walk in.

the door was shut behind them by a couple of the elite soldiers that was waiting for them to enter as the other two soldiers in front of them pulled out their own swords and pointed them at the two hedgehogs.

with a stern look, Jules even flinch when he saw how close the two were together, thinking that what he was told was the truth and wanted to get his son as far away from the monster before it was too late.
