Bryten's Point of View:

“I can't.” Tinsley said as she shook her head.

“Yes you can honey.”

“He's mad.” she said as she jumped to conclusions.

“He isn't.”

“He will be angry I didn't call.”

“Honey he's concerned, but not mad.”

“I can't.” Tinsley said as she shook her head again.

“I promise you can. I promise you he's not angry.” Bryten said as he pulled her closer.

He was surprised when Tinsley started to cry. He rested his chin on the top of her head as he rubbed her back softly.

“Shh, easy honey.” he soothed.

“I'm scared.” she sobbed.

“I know, but baby you have to trust in God's provision. (The way God provides for those that are his.) He hasn't let you down before and he isn't going to start now.” Bryten gently reminded.

Before Tinsley could respond, Bryten's office door opened and Kegan stepped out. Tinsley lowered her head in a mixture of fear and shame that pulled at Bryten's heart- it must have pulled at Keagan's too because he reached over and pulled her to him.

“I am so sorry.” he said as he rubbed hugged her. “I didn't know. I should have called. I should have taken you with me.”

Bryten decided to give them a moment alone, so he did what any big brother would do.... He went to annoy his little brother.

He walked into his office and sat on his desk? “Whatcha' doing?” he asked.

Jacob looked up. “Dying inside.” he mumbled.

“Wow. That's dramatic.” Bryten said.

“I am struggling with something.” Jacob said as he looked up and shut the manilla file folder.

“Is it a patient?” Bryten asked.

Jacob nodded.

“Has the patient relapsed?”

Jacob shook his head and handed him the file.

Bryten opened it and raised his eyebrows when he saw Sammy's name.
