Six Weeks Later:
Bryten's Point of View:
"Come on." Tinsley said as she grabbed Bryten's hand.
"Where are we going?" he laughed.
"We're spies!" she declared as she pulled him to the open window wall in his apartment.
"What are we spying on?" he asked.
"Sammy and Jacob." she sang as she quieted him.
He shook his head and peered down to the street below.
Tinsley giggled as Jacob bought some cotton candy from the vendor on the corner. Sammy took if from his as expected and went to pull a piece off. Her eyes widened when she saw the beautiful diamond ring sitting on top. She looked at Jacob expectantly and he smiled.
~Flashback~
"I can't believe we're here." Tinsley said as she dug her toes into the warm Miami sand.
"believe it." Bryten said as he bent over and kissed her.
"Who would have thought a month ago all this would have happened?"
He knew what she meant. In the last month Sammy and Jacob had become and exclusive couple. Kegan had moved back into the states and started a ministry for young girls in the ward. The case had ended and Roy had been sentenced to fourteen years in prison. Tinsley's mother had written her off for now, but God had sent Rose to fill in for her and Bryten didn't think Tinsley minded one bit. Everyone had been doing really well and Bryten had hired four extra doctors full time and several nurses. Word of the center had spread and Bryten and Jacob were looking at opening in another location. They were praying about Miami. They felt everyone needed a change of scenery... and for the first time in three years, they were on vacation.
"I don't think anyone would have, but that is the beauty of God. Blessings come when least expected." Bryten said.
She nodded. "He has been so good to us."
He agreed.
Tinsley and Bryten laughed as Kegan ran across the beach with a water gun in his hand. In front of him Eva ran screaming.
"Who would have thought my sister and your brother would have found love as well?" Bryten asked Tinsley as tehy watched Kegan catch and kiss Eva.
"I'm really glad she didn't kill him that day in your appartment." she said.
Bryten laughed. "It would have ruined it because that was a really great day."
"because that's the day you told me you loved me." she said.
"and?"
"The day I found out my inheritance was finally mine."
"and?"
"The day you made me go ahead and sign up for nursing." she giggled.
She was right. Bryten marched her happy little self in the buisness office and he enrolled her in school.
Bryten's phone went off and he slid it over, so he could read the text. "It's done."
"Let's go for a walk love." he said as he stood up and took her hand.
"No." she pouted.
Bryten smiled gently. "I think we would have more fun down the beach some."
She poked her lip out and Bryten laughed.
