-Crimson Aquilon POV-
"Long day huh?"
I looked up to see who the voice was coming from. Someone I knew well was looking down at me.
"Hey Melody. What do you want?". Melody was a tall black-haired girl with bright eyes, even though they were grey and white. She wore a smudged white shirt with an imposing Heatran face in the middle.Melody replied: "The Professor wants to see us. Apparently, something to show us all."
"All right; I'm coming!" I got up, excited at the prospect at something new in Pallet. The last big thing that happened here was my arrival. Nobody wanted me, a small thief from Vermillion, to come here.
The local authorities thought that living with the Professor would calm me down a bit. I was determined to prove them wrong, but instead that didn't really work out that well. I enjoyed myself too much and stopped my criminal ways. I never expected it. Nobody did, but I proved myself to truly have turned when I saved a small Pokémon from a large angry Ursaring. The story always stayed in my mind. The day the citizens of Pallet accepted me-A Few Months Ago-
A Charmander had wandered out of the lab. He was large for a Charmander but still quite small. He got lost in the woods and ran around crying for help. Someone found him, but not to help. Charmander's cried had woken a nearby Ursaring and, unfortunately for Charmander, Ursaring was a bit of a grumpy napper. I heard the cries of Charmander and furious roars of the Ursaring and ran into the woods. I found them after a bit of searching. Charmander had gone up a tree, covering its tail so it wouldn't set the tree alight, while Ursaring was trying to shake it out with its big arms.
"Hey! Over here" I yelled, desperate to attract the Ursaring's attention. I got my wish. Unfortunately, I had wished badly. Its mouth started glowing and soon became a blinding light. It blasted the Hyper Beam at me, nearly cutting my arm off. I started to panic. Even though there was a rush of adrenaline inside me, the Ursaring brought the fear into my heart. Unable to move, the Ursaring was rooted to the spot. Down, jumped Charmander and ran behind me, hiding. We ran back towards the village but soon the Ursaring was able to run again and bounded towards us with surprising speed. Furiously he roared with such force that it knocked us off our feet. The Hyper Voice attack rang in my ears. We wasted valuable time trying to run, so we hid behind a large rock. More Pokémon woke to see what was happening, but thankfully they weren't like the Ursaring. A Riolu and a Gible. Apparently, they knew the Charmander and wanted to help.
Gible used Outrage at the Ursaring. Round and round it went around the Ursaring's feet. Riolu flew outwards and punched through the air. A Vacuum Wave attack flew out and knocked the Ursaring off its feet. I jumped into the fight myself, distracting the Ursaring where I could so the Pokémon could get as many hits in as possible. Soon the Ursaring was too tired to actually attack.
Finally, Charmander jumped up and launched a powerful Ember attack at the Ursaring. I carried Charmander back to the lab and said goodbye to the Riolu and Gible. That morning, I told the professor all that happened, and he believed it. Unlike the others, he trusted me with everything. From that day on, I was actually accepted in Pallet. From that day on, I felt like a true human being.- End of Flashback –
We were arriving at the lab. It was a large white building. An array of windmills stood on the roof of the building, powering the whole facility. I was so in awe I did not even realise that Melody was ahead of me. I quickly went to catch up, entering the behemoth.
The main room was the largest. A room shaped like a church with lots of computer and science equipment scattered across the purple tiled floor. A large window shone summer light into the room, brightening the lab up. This was the room where trainers received their first starters. Behind was the lab for experimenting on different healing potions, a training centre, the Poké Ball storage, and the incubation room for Pokémon eggs. Behind the facility was the fields for many Pokémon to roam across. Some wild, some abandoned, and some temporarily there because their trainer is training some other Pokémon at the time."Ah! There you are!" shouted a voice. I instantly identified it as Professor Oak. I saw him walking towards us with a pair of car keys in hand.
"Professor. I got him." said Melody. Personally, I don't think she had to say that since I was right next to her but I'm not going to judge.
"Come on! Get in the car! Everybody's already there!" shouted Professor Oak. Seriously, he was going deaf.
Word of advice: NEVER get in a car with Professor Oak. We only missed one road sign. At least the people in front of us had the reaction time to step out the way. Hats off to you. When we arrived, I stepped out of the car, shaking. At least I didn't vomit. Poor Melody. When we arrived, the Professor stepped out and said to us: "Here we are! Pallet Town's new fossil centre! The people that run it are the Fassalus family. Ancient family from Kalos. They even have an Omanyte Fossil!"
"Omanyte fossil? That's cool." said Melody. She was about to run in before the Professor told her that we weren't going in the front entrance. We were going behind the scenes.
We walked to the back where we saw our other friends at the entrance. Leo, Hugo, my brother Talzula, and a new face I hadn't seen before.
"Hi! I'm Paleum! I'm new here. My parents run this facility. We find fossils and bring them back to life!"
"Err... Hi?" I responded tentatively. I was unsure of how to respond to such a hyperactive 13-year-old in a lab coat. He had black frizzy hair and a wild look in his eyes. Despite his wild look, he looked fun to be with. He seemed the kind of person that you would want to be friends with, but constantly gets into trouble. He certainly seemed that way with black mud all over his clothes and face.
Melody didn't hesitate to make friends with him. She was always interested in fossils, mostly because they could be regenerated into quite powerful Pokémon. She was interested in becoming the world's strongest trainer. She wanted to beat the World Champion and take his title. Me? I wasn't too interested. I just wanted to help people. Make up for what I used to do.
We talked more and found out a bit more about this kid. His dream was his family's. Find every ancient Pokémon that ever existed, including Mew. That last one. That's his family's biggest goal. He believes he will be the one to achieve it. I was going to add something before a huge explosion that rocked our socks off rudely interrupted me.
