-Vulgo Maken POV-
When I woke up I was in a freezing chamber. There were dull grey walls with leaden grey bars blocking me off from getting out. There were no windows and a very uncomfortable wooden bed. Other Agents were in the cell with me. There were two men standing outside holding a Poké ball each. I noticed that one of the guards had a Key Card. They were much too far away to reach so I decided to try talking.
"Hey fellas. I don't suppose you will tell me which of the nice restaurants in Kalos I am in? The décor is so... How do I say it? Magnifique!" I spoke. The guards turned around and looked at me. The one with the Key card had a caterpillar type moustache and a beard which looked like a shrivelled up... you know. The other was short and stocky with a huge scar on his face that made him looked like somewhere, there was a butcher looking for the deformed pig that ran away. Moustache guy pointed up at the ceiling. A large worn-out C was painted onto the ceiling. I guessed I was in a Cosmos holding cell. I looked at the chamber I was in. The lock for the cell was Key Card activated. Grade B. I guessed that the Key Card Mr Moustache was holding was Grade B.
"Well, I don't suppose you would let me out? Either that or the tracker implanted in me would alert the UPIA where I am, and I highly doubt you would stand a chance against the full force of the UPIA. I am a highly prized agent" I said. I didn't actually have a tracker in me, but I hoped they didn't know that. They turned their heads so quickly it was a wonder they didn't get whiplash.
"Come on fellas, how about you let me out and maybe we could hit the club?" I said again. I pulled out a few pokédollars out of my hidden pocket.
I could tell they agreed as they slowly opened the door to my cell with a ginormous grin on their faces.
"Well thank you. Now if you would be so kind to tell me, where are my Pokémon and Pokégear?" I replied. Mr Not-Keycard pointed towards a small unnoticeable door to the right of us. I grabbed the handle and opened it up. Inside was a small belt with a fire sign. My belt. I strapped it on and tapped the button on the belt, which caused it to transform into my full UPIA suit. I pressed the side of the helmet and selected the 'Poke Maps' app. We were in Galar. Wild Area 7. Perfect. I took out a Poké ball and sent it out.
"Toxtricity? Why don't you say thanks to these Grunts? Maybe a little thunderbolt?" I said. The Grunts looked at us, terrified and horrified at what they had just done before they were electrocuted and lost consciousness. The other Agents were strapping on their gear as they roared with mirth.
"Ah! Revenge is sweet! Sorry lads, turns out the club was closed today. Well, since we're in a wild area, why don't we show these guys what you can do! Return Toxtricity, and Gigantamax!". I clicked the button on the Poké ball and activated my Dynamax Band. I rolled the enlarged Poké ball to the floor and watched it erupt into a G-Max Toxtricity. The ceiling split open as the sheer size of the Gigantamax Pokémon caused the base to crumble into nothing but rubble. Me and the other Agents had positioned ourselves directly underneath Toxtricity so none of the rubble would hit us.
As Toxtricity returned to its normal size and form, I sucked it into its Poké Ball. I scanned the wreckage of the former Cosmos holding cell. There was probably many injured or permanently asleep Cosmos grunts under there. They deserved it. I should probably not tell my boss about this though. Homicide is kinda illegal, even if you have just killed a killer. Or one hundred killers.
"Eh. No-one will know about this. Nobody goes to Wild Area 7. Besides, they'll never find the bodies." I said "Welp. Time to get back to base guys. Where's the exit?". My AI scanned the entire area and found a path, north of where we were. Perfect. We casually walked off as if we hadn't just sent some Cosmos grunts to an early grave.
-POV Change: Elite Leader Lance-
"You're saying that an entire warehouse just disappeared off the face of the earth. Where was this warehouse?" I said. An agent had come in to tell me that the satellite images showed that a warehouse had just disappeared with only a pile of rubble left. No heat signals, yet the previous scan of the same area had shown the place bustling with people.
"Yes sir. At 17:00 the warehouse was there and in the next hour, it was just gone. Maybe everyone evacuated from the building because it was unstable? They may not all be dead." said the agent "There may be a few casualties, so I suggest we go and find out what happened there." he said.
"Yes. Send a scout team. Where was this warehouse?" I said. It disturbed me. A perfectly functional warehouse had just been wiped out. Maybe it was in the hands of some Cosmos grunts and it had been destroyed. That would be lucky. If it was where they held the captured Rescue Squad, then Agent 96 was probably responsible for this destruction. He could get a bit out of hand like that. People treated him as a model Agent, which he was, but he could seriously lose control whenever he did. Thankfully, that was rare. I would trust him with my life. His partner was the calm one. Agent 17. Ogganal Dallari.
He was out recruiting a Task Force to help the captured Agents, but if it was the Agents who had done this destruction, then we wouldn't need it for this purpose. We could keep TF1 to sniff out the Cosmos agents hiding in the midst of this world. Eradicate the eradicators, make them beg for mercy. I heard a beep from my computer with two notifications. A new challenger in the Elite 4 and a call from Ogganal Dallari. I accepted the call from A17."Well Agent 17. How is it going with the Task Force?" I said. He looked happy with himself. He jabbed one thumb into the air in a thumbs-up position.
"Very well Commander. They're out for training. See how well they do in the wilderness for a week. I had something else to talk to you about. These people I've recruited have some history with Cosmos. They know some plans that Cosmos have. Right now, Cosmos has some plan to capture Mew. I don't think we can let them do that. That could be the first mission for TF1. Find out what Cosmos is planning with Mew and stop it if possible." he replied. A great idea. I told him so. I also mentioned that Agent 96 may have been rescued. We were sending a Scout Squad to check.
"That's great. We have one of our rescue teams back. Now to deal with the problem of the other missing Rescue Squads." he said. I nodded. That was important. I clicked off the call and got into my Elite suit for the new challenger. I activated my teleporter and was zapped into the Indigo Plateau. The challenger walked in with a smug grin. His Umbreon stood behind him. Interesting. I wonder how powerful the Grandson of Professor Oak would be. This would be an interesting battle. Seeing as he had trained for a few months, he should be quite powerful. He had an advantage against Agatha with that Umbreon of his. His Pidgeot was one of his most powerful, with the ability to Mega Evolve, so that should ensure his win against Bruno. His starter was a powerful Charizard so he should be able to take on Lorelei's Ice Types, but how would he get past me? The Dragon Master of Kanto! Not the Dragon type Master. The Dragon Master. All my Pokémon were dragon in a sense. Just only the Dragonites were Dragon type.
I watched in fascination as he beat Lorelei with ease. His Pidgeot made quick work of Bruno and Umbreon quickly got rid of Agatha's ghosts. Time for our battle. He quickly worked some Potions onto his Pokémon to heal before our battle. Smart. I threw out Aerodactyl to take on his Pokémon. He threw out an Exeggutor. Why he brought an Exeggutor against my flying type, I didn't realize until I remembered Exeggutor could learn Ice Beam. Exeggutor shot a ray of bright blue and white light at Aerodactyl which it swiftly dodged. Aerodactyl flapped its wings with threw blades of air at Exeggutor. In swift procession, it Crunched on Exeggutor then started charging up a Sky-Attack. Exeggutor recovered swiftly and launched another Ice Beam directly at Aerodactyl. It hurt but Aerodactyl stood fast. The Sky Attack charged up fully and Aerodactyl charged into Exeggutor. Exeggutor fell to the floor with swirls in its eyes. It glowed red and disintegrated into its Poké ball. Blue Oak threw out another Poké ball which materialized into a Gyarados. It bit down onto Aerodactyl with frozen fangs. The Ice Fang attack caused Aerodactyl to cry out in pain. It struggled to get out but couldn't and ended up hurting itself more. Aerodactyl was now unable to battle. I returned Aerodactyl and threw out my own Gyarados.
Crackling with electricity, Gyarados bit down on Blue's Gyarados which cried out in pain. This was followed swiftly my Gyarados shooting a hurricane out of its mouth. The opposing Gyarados quickly recovered and screamed at my Gyarados. The Hyper Voice knocked it off its feet and it couldn't get up fast enough to dodge the Stone Edge crashing through the ground. Gyarados was unable to battle. I returned Gyarados and unclipped my next Poké Ball. This would be an interesting fight.
